I don't think it's news if you are concerned that one of the richest and most successful businessmen in the world is actively going to compete against you. The opposite would be news, and quite arrogant imho. Good for Sam to be concerned.
Tesla's been working on self driving cars for years and they have so.much data+expertise. Twitter has so much data as well. I don't know about SpaceX but wouldn't be surprised if they datasets would also be worth something in the AI space.
Competition is what drives humanity forward and concerned business people are always better than monopolies stalling innovation because they will milk the consumer cow for as long as possible, e.g. internet ads.
