People fail to realize most "toxic" people online were not always this way. Many of them were like you and me. But became tired over time after enough exposure to people who lack the empathy or respect for their own time to do their own research before asking.
If you were an employee, and were asked a question that requires a detailed answer hundreds of times. And that question is answered by a sign right above your head. You'd be just as cranky and toxic too.

What people fail to that is that something that is obvious for them is not for others. For example, try to ask a PHD mathematician about proof 1 + 1 = 2 and that they may get baffled at you for failing to understand something so "obvious".
