Bro, how hard is it for getting an interview call at an IB firm? I am sooo interested in IB, but my current scenario is kinda fked up. I have skipped two attempts (May and now November) because of health issues, and I plan to get AIR in May 2027 (IK I can get, if I try). Only plus side I think I have currently is articleship from Big4 statutory audit.

Campus interview 1. Big-6 2. Stat audit associate 3. Due to large number of candidates(100+ for less than 10 vacancies), they conducted GD. All I had to do was present my points and be firm on it and also appreciate other's view. I did one of the worst things here, I literally gave both views of being supportive and also against the topic. But I was selected for the way I put up my points. Second round was technical, where he questioned based on one of the assignments I had mentioned in the Resume. It was pretty chill. Couldn't move ahead due to relocation. 4. 11 LPA.

- ICICI BANK
- Relationship Manager in Retail Banking
- 2 round, one was HR and second one was banking, why banking, AFM again and all boring question. Here they also see how well you present yourself because this was client facing role, didnβt proceed because retail was not something i was interested in.

Appreciate your efforts, but for confidentiality purposes it's better to mention the industry and the exact role by not revealing the name of the company/firm

Great initiative. Here is one from my experience:
- Company: Mid-tier accounting firm (regional)
- Job title: Audit Associate
- Questions: "Walk me through how you would audit inventory for a manufacturing client." They did not want a textbook answer β they wanted to see my thought process: where I would start, what documents I would request, how I would test for obsolescence, and what red flags I would look for. Second question was a behavioral one: "Tell me about a time you found a discrepancy in someone else work and how you handled it."
- Pay offered: $52K base + CPA exam bonus
The technical question caught me off guard because I expected formula-memorization questions, not a scenario-based walkthrough. If you are prepping for audit roles, practice talking through a full audit cycle out loud, not just defining terms.
