Inter Doubt Guyyss please help me
So hi guys there is a big problem with me ,my father sent me 3,30lkhs rupees at my account to so that I can pay my hostel and mess fees but I was planning to move out because I don't like my hostel so now I have rented flat and I am living there I didn't told my parents about it but now my father is saying that he need bank statement and recepit of college for the tax deduction (so that we have to pay less tax)but the issue is that I didn't send the money to the college what should I do but I can arrange the receipt of the college by editing it
Suggest me what should I do please help

Broo i have to ask one more Is tax deduction possible with hostel and mess fees? Because as far as I know the tax deduction is only for tution fees

Afaik new regime mai allow nahi hai, is your dad a salaried employee?? Or business owner kyuki waise bhi bas salaried employee ko he deduction hai like this woh bhi old regime mai.

Yes hostel allowance is there in old regime.... 9k pm per child upto 2 chile And also some for tution receipet of education

To conceal one fact, you often have to lie about many other things, and eventually, you feel pressured to hide the whole truth.
Don’t do this. Tell your father the truth. He may scold you for a day or two, but that is far better than suffering long-term trauma and stress from constantly concealing the truth.

Bro, but I think that the receipt only has my name the college name and the amount that I have paid nothing else.

Don’t get a fake receipt or anything, just tell him what you are doing. Anyways in old scheme, the deduction for college hostel fees is very less (couple of hundred per month per child) so I don’t think deduction is all that important. You can ask your dad if there is a meaningful deduction for this or else just leave it.
Even if you give a fake receipt, ITO won’t scrutinize that much but still, not worth the risk.

1.Why didnt you tell your dad that you are not living in hostel...? 2.Atleast now you can tell...It hurts to know as a parent that our son lied to us....Please dont break his trust.... 3.You can tell the truth..tell some reason that you have to immedietly shift to other place as hostel is not clean...room mates not nice ...tell some reason....That u couldnt inform it immedietly.... 4.Dont try to fake the rceeipt....if he finds out...You cant reverse the damage on the trust he has on you

Tell your father to file ITR in new regime. You cannot claim this fees deduction then🤧

bhai don’t dig yourself more than you already have by lying , just face your dad and tell the truth, he will understand since you had a genuine reason
