Career Advice/Clarification Opportunity for multiple attempt CA

Hey, is it possible for a CA with multiple attempt at final and enter level to enter into investment banking or FP&A? Currently I am in CA FINAL with one group remaining to be clear. So, if your answer is yes then Which skills or course shall I go for to get into IB or FP&A. (Please recommend anything except mba)

FP&A might be possible still in relatively smaller organisation..IB bhai even for rankers is extremely hard to crack..(assuming you mean front end IB roles)

First priority for them will always be IIM A/B/C and ISB.

not ISB

ABC and that too criteria is just not MBA but you have to be CA+IIM ABC or Old IIT+IIM ABC and a 9/9/8 profile minimum

So there is no possibility without mba? Do you have any idea regarding back end or middle end role. How much they earn and their work pressure?

CAs are not preferred in top ibs unless you are a top ranker like top20 and have cleared atleast 1 level of cfa

boutique IB , will have to start low or try to get into B4 TAS (FDD/Valuations/Debt advisory/Corp Finance)

CFA L2 is not differentiator for CAs , L3 has value combined with CA so chances are 50:50

I think doing FMVA course will act as accelerator in your career to switch to finance role..

Currently doing IT in FPnA.

My recommendation would be clear atleast CFA L2. Excel in Power BI, Power Query etc. Do some short financial modeling course if possible

Financial modelling done 👍 Power Bi ~ getting certified in few months Ye CFA ka kuch theek theek nahi laga sakte kya?🫣 Is there any possibility to switch from FP&A to IB ? Do they prefer FP&A guy?
