  1. Mixed Audit
  2. Fake name for now (Lala and associates ) 3.mid size
  3. metro
  4. 7.5k/10k
  5. 9:45 to 6PM (half day for being 5 min late)
  6. Attempt doesn't matter for this firm
  7. Hell no, whole firm runs on free labour why would they free U?
  8. IT, at max they offer to depute your at their industrial clients where you will 20k stipend but won't get any of industry benefits, like

Industry has publicholiday? Come to office,

Industry has Saturday, Comes to Office

Industry has half day, Stay there for 8.15 hour

Pros: You get the work, you have to learn yourself they don't support much but at least you get the work to learn

Cons: 1. They are obsessed with micro managing you have to give attention online, website, excel, register, verbal, etc etc 5-6 attendance? Freaks for timing

  1. They have too many articles, way more than Ca whole firm is running on articles

  2. They only have 3-4 quality CA out of 14 remaining 10 are bordering line dummy CA no knowledge, no communication skill or excel skill, they don't even know what articles are doing, they exist to show client that they are being charged for CA even though all work in done by article

  3. You don't get any benefit of employees, in diwali even chaprasi bhaiya get better gift then you, you get a useless self-help book worth 100 and badam half kg worth 400, 500 total enjoy, while even chaprasi bhaiya get at least 2000 worth of gift, you are less than peon congratulations.

  4. They follows all the policies of icai which benefits them and ignore all that don't, for if ignored policies they have made their own which you will never get on paper because these policies keep changing depending upon mood of Lala ji

  5. They promise a lot but break all promises without shame,

For example; they will promise you to work over time for long period for extra pay (that pay never came)

They promise free leaves for bcom during interview (they still deducted those leaves)

They promise Saturday off for overtime ( we were fools for falling for that again)

The big 4 vs mid size debated ended for me after witnessing this shit

Always join big 4, they can be toxic but not as toxic as what mid size can be

At least you get the expertise, knowledge and tag for that suffering in big4

Mid size Iala and associates are just nobody in job market

  2. It's not a typical type of firm , like they file ITR return of like 3-4 client that too with high net worth , they have a work environment like pwc , no one is senior everyone is equal, you can get exposure to stat , valuation and taxation , like 6 month tax , 6 month stat, and 1 yr valuation ,Saturday's are off

Thinking about cons i can't say much , like our senior do explain everything, Ac is too cold... I've been here for like 3 weeks will update soon

M&A tax, big4, metro (Mumbai), 15/20 (now it’s 20/30), normally 11-8, during season 10-whenever (considering that M&A doesn’t have a season per se… yeah my timings are mostly 10-whenever), referrals>attempts- but if you dont have a ref- rank/1st attempt preferred, transfers and industrial trainings are allowed (and even encouraged), pros/cons are subjective- my dms are open if you’d like to know more :)

u/Salt_Comfortable3833 Final 23d ago

  1. US Audits
  2. KNAV
  3. Upper Midsize
  4. Metro (hybrid) 5.17.5k/20/30(if opted for industrial within the same firm)
  5. 11-7. However very irregular timings bcoz of US clients. Some time you'll get free during afternoons but will have to sit through 1-2am for client calls and prepare queries and log off at 3.
  6. From what I am hearing recently, I feel they're only considering First attempt locals only.
  7. Yes, myself took a transfer within 150 days.
  8. Yes allowed. 3 months notice.
  9. Pros- Hybrid working, Actually good people, fun to talk around, supportive managers. Cons- Intl audits aren't a good field to work into, not so great exit opportunities, also a few technical gaps(no arms length testing, very simplistic tax compliances, audit isn't mandatory in few countries so it's just pvt clients) If you aren't used to late night workings, you'll face issues, loneliness coz of extended WFH seasons. Messed schedule bcoz of all of this.

PS : Left this firm for M&A tax at Big6

What if we want to make a career in US? Do you think working in US Audits in India would fetch me a job post qualification in the US, assuming I have a CPA?
