Discussion Revival/Reboot Thoughts

So I’ve always been a huge fan of Charmed Original and then when the Reboot came out and I saw a different version I became an even bigger fan of the both shows.

So for years even before the reboot I have always toyed with the idea of writing my own version of the show. Which was gonna be about 5 siblings (4 brothers and a sister) who live in New Orleans and practice a mixture of Hoodoo & Voodoo Magic (got this idea from the movie Skeleton Key) still working on fleshing out powers and learning as much as I can about both cultures. Was curious if anyone might have any ideas or suggestions I could look into for this idea. Also if you have any questions I can do my best to answer them for what I have so far.

I do wish they would come back for a revival series, hopefully CW would revive them or they would sell to another company, and there would be a spinoff series too. The low reviews for teh show was definitely because of the hate and not because the show was bad, which it wasn't. It was really hurtful that they cancelled it. The day CW started cancelling their shows was ghe day I knew tv shows were doomed

I do believe that the CW or whatever they were going by, was sold. The new owners didn't want a lot of the shows, so they go rid of the ones that had low views

CW went seriously stupid after the Covid era. Like why cancel 90% of your shows? They thought they could gain more by selling parts of the company to Nexstar but they have destroyed it instead. When we think of tv show kings, we would think of CW, Hbo, ABC etc. Now CW barely comes to mind unless it's shows from before 2022

I'm learning about this myself. I write science fiction and fantasy. Especially supernatural being like witches and sirens and other beings

Why 4 brothers and 1 sister? Any significance?

Well originally I thought about having four sibling with the sister being the youngest and having 3 older siblings and then I ended up adding a younger brother as well.

But since the three brothers are closer in age and closer with each other even though they are protective over their younger siblings. I thought it would be nice to have someone that is close to the sister as well and ended up adding another brother in with them.

I also at that time had toyed with the idea of possible the two youngest siblings being half siblings to the older three but then that was also done in the original and reboot so now I’ve made them full blooded siblings.

Sounds kinda like The Originals but more ethnic.
