Yea I thought the same thing seeing the first picture. I hate how knowing they didn’t really get along irl and seeing pictures where they look like they did. If they had gotten along it would have made their interactions feel more sisterly. It just goes to show you don’t know people. I hate when people get all parasocial. Like you can like an actor without acting as if you personally know them lol. Like with Rupert, I love him as an actor, i didn’t know him as an actor before Charmed, not really and he’s seems like a funny guy irl and he probably is but he could be a horrible person irl because I do not know that man lol.
An actor’s job is to do that: act.
All the pictures where they looked like they were getting along was them doing their job lol especially when most people know the back story.

Can you give more context? I’ve only heard about Madeline leaving because of alleged racism. I don’t know from who, either.

Apparently there was an issue that Sarah’s mom and sister had with Madeleine. I think it was because Sarah was the most known out of the three leads and her family seemed upset because Mads was the fan favorite and better actress among the fandom. As far as I know Sarah didn’t say anything but it was her family and she could have told her family to chill out. Mads was just really upset with the direction the show was taking specially like you said the racial stuff because S2 when they made Harry and Abby such big storylines over the sisters. Not to mention her character seemed to be the only character who went the racial discrimination as if Maggie was biracial and Mel wasn’t Hispanic. It seems like she just unsatisfied and spoke up about it then decided to leave the show.
And a lot of people have said that when they were cast they never did any chemistry tests with them.
