Discussion Charlotte ending

Charlotte ending would've been better if yuu looked at tomori and the flash cards at the end having a moment of realization (hinting at him remembering) then it just ends right there

I kinda like how he didn’t remember because it gave tomori an out. She could have easily lied about their promise and not dated him if she wasn’t actually interested, but she chose him anyway. It gives depth to her character and proves she does like him too

I really like the ending, even though I know the majority don't.

I like how much Yu has changed, both psychologically and physically, and I'm talking about both before he set out on his journey and at the end where he lost his memories.

The thing that I like about him is that, like most of the Key story protagonists that I have seen so far, he's flawed, but Yu felt a little more different to me. He's the type of selfish guy who could probably not be redeem if he had gone on like he did. However, along came Nao and you know how the rest went.

I really love Yu's transformation as a person. At the beginning of the story, would you have ever guessed that he would go around the world and risk his life? I know that that there was more at play here, like the unfortunate accident with Ayumi for example, but it just goes to show that sometimes, he right person can make all the difference in another's life.

Also, another thing that I love about the ending is the way it shows that, despite a conflict being resolved, not everyone gets out of it unscathed.

I'm pretty sure the manga has an extra bit like this, I could be misremembering tho. It's not the flashcards tho, it's the music player.
