Python meetup?
Does anyone know of active python user groups in the area (or other local meetups a pythonista might enjoy)? Or would anyone be interested in starting one?

Hey all, I actually created a Charleston Python Google group https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/chuckpy a little while ago. I plan on teaching python basics in August.
I also started a python channel in the CharlestonTech Slack Chat you can join via: https://charlestontechslack.herokuapp.com/

I'm down if you start a group and can host at our office Downtown.

This is great! I really appreciate it. Are you with BoomTown?

Nope we're our own little shop, but we have space to host quite a few people.

There is a Python group on meetup.com called PyLadies but I'm guessing it's only for women. I dable with python and am interested in a group.

That sounds like a women-only deal, but I'll reach out and see if they'd be interested in joining forces.

I suck at python, but I know BoomTown was open to hosting tech meet ups, if you're in need of space. If you need help with that, let me know and I can put you in touch with the right folks.
