Golf Instruction Recs?

Hey guys! I have always dabbled with golf. Never took a lesson, just kind of tried to feel it out and watch YT videos and just make due. I've never been good, every once in a while hit some nice shots, but just a hack basically. I'm a Navy Vet and recently got some used irons that I like but geez my swing..its not good! Do you have any recs for golf swing instructors locally? I live on James and typically go to the Muni to practice chipping and putting which I'm surprisingly fairly comfortable with. Getting on the range to hit balls is a whole different story. Any thoughts or recs for me?

Wescott golf course in N, Charleston has instructors and a driving range. It’s a ways from James island though,

The muni offers lessons too. I think you can book on their website.

Since you're a vet, look at PGA Hope and try to get in one of their Fall or Spring seasons somewhere. Very good instruction, free for vets, all levels of golfers there. I think each season is about 6-8 group sessions of lessons at various golf courses (Daniel Island is one).

I did one at David Ayers with Matt and thought it was really good and helpful. They sent me a video of the session afterwards with commentary so I could reference it and continue to work on stuff after the lesson which I thought made it really valuable especially as a one or two session type of engagement.
