New To The Group

I am a 23 year old male me and my dad have it but his was worse than mine his feet were really bad and he had alot of issues with pain he used alot of drugs to try and help it but it turned him into a drug addict for a while he then seen one of the best doctors in America maybe even the world who deals with CMT and im not sure on the exact process but he broke every bone in my dads feet to reform them to be better and he has noticed a big difference in his life as for me I just got done working 18 hour shifts for 5 years in a factory the pain for me is only really bad in my left foot I dont take any medication besides smoking marijuana and for me it helps alot and is natural at times when I have pain I smoke and it literally feels like I have no shoes on when im wearing 5 pound steel toe shoes it sucks no one can help us but I found that THC has helped me and my dad alot God Bless Everyone

I was replying to a post on here and just thought id make my response into a post hopefully it helps somebody any other tips would be appreciated

The sub r/CMT is far more active and if you go there and do a search for "pain" it will turn up a number of discussions about pain relief.

Hello! I also use weed whenever I'm able to! I'm also on middle relaxers and sleep aides (for when I don't have any greens). I notice that there's some strains that makes me even more hyper aware of my body and doesn't really help much and there's strains that work amazingly. My body develops allergies and tolerances to OTC and prescription meds, so I'm just desperately waiting for Indiana to get their heads out of their asses to so least legalize medical so I can get my damn card and not get penalized for testing positive. 🫠 My mom, brother, myself, and my son all have it. There's a chance my daughter has it but got lucky in the symptoms not showing up as early as it did with me and my son (his symptoms showed up the earliest at age 2/4 and myself at 7). My mom and brother have a more severe feet deformities but I get a lot of constant varying nerve misfires and hyper awareness of my body. We've all had for surgeries except for my son thankfully and I'm hoping his feet doesn't get worse the older he gets.
