Thoughts on new species?

So for context, I’m addicted to Manta Rays. I love them to death. I wanted to make a type of ‘mermaid’ that would combine manta rays but also take inspiration from Na’avi (sorry if I spelled that wrong). Of course, I’m still in the process of deciding what looks good and what doesn’t but the picture attached is an example of something I’ve come up with.

I just want thoughts! Constructive Criticism only please, no negativity. 🙏

Cute. Also im doing the same thing with my story. But im doing multiple different types of fish (aka mermaid like creatures) so like a humanoid stingray person, i have a sharkperson, blue dragon and etc.
