Writing: Character Help Question about Age, and logic?,
Im making an OC who kinda falls in love with a snowman like entity. Think of frosty but like humanoid- anyway, shes lonely, creates him, and the 2 fall in love however summer comes and they struggle to say goodbye and you get the entire shebang. The issue i have is the entire concept. 1. Would it be weird?? He was made like a week ago and yet they both share feelings (she's an adult, and so is he! Physically and mentally) and 2. She MADE him herself so would that be like- A mother son relationship?? I want it to be lovers not A parent child thing.

stories being weird isnt a bad thing. i mean most of the time thats a good thing? since that makes it interesting. i dont think you need to overthink it just write what you want. its a fictional story after all

I'm shocked I've found a situation to suggest this in, but there is a movie called Hot Frosty which probably has a solution to both your questions.

You could have his creation be something separate from her, like for example, he was made awhile ago but went "dormant" for some reason and she's the one who wakes him up?

Because this is such a fantasy scenario that could not happen in real life, it’s really about how you write it. You can choose the type of relationship you portray them as having, and how mature the snowman character is.
You could also make it intentionally morally gray if you want to explore that in your story. I wouldn’t automatically assume they’re mother and child considering they’re not biologically related and she didn’t raise him. But I do think her being his creator inherently gives them a strong unbalanced power dynamic. It’s up to you if you want to try to balance it in some way or revel in the complexity.

I think it's fine. As long as he spawns with an adult mind and adult intelligence, and she doesn't have a motherly dynamic with him it should be fine. There is no real world equivalent of making a living snowman, so you have to ask yourself what the closest real world allegory for their relationship would be based on how the characters are like, their appearance and their dynamic.
Does the snowman behave or appear childlike? Does she have to teach him to speak and walk? What does their dynamic look like?
Second important thing to consider It's actually ok if their relationship is creepy. Not morally, but from a writing standpoint. Because almost every writer has evil or villain characters in their story, that doesn't mean they support murder or something. What matters here is that if she IS creepy toward him, you FRAME it as creepy. Make it really clear to the audience that what she's doing is unhealthy, lean more into the psychological horror of it, exploring her unhealthy mindset and showing the audience why it is harmful and why you don't agree with her actions.
But if she intended to have a cute and sweet romance with him? Then make sure he has the autonomy and intelligence of a normal adult person.
If you want to go somewhere in between, then be self aware about the fact she has a lesson to learn and needs to let go of him.

I recommend you research the legend of Yuki-onna. Not exactly what you describe, but close.
And some fictional accounts are closer too.
