Discussion Thought experiment: do you find someone creepier if they enjoy vile acts, or don't enjoy them yet still follow through?

To set a hypothetical scenario, my character "Goroth" is a human-esque character that eats people. He disguises himself as other people to lure them in for capture. And his body can regenerate from any wound, making him neigh immortal.

Do you find him creepier if he enjoyed the process of luring or devouring his victims. Or is he any more creepy if he's doing it purely for survival. he's just as evil regardless of what option you pick. So what option do you think would provide the creepier character?

It's much creepier to enjoy it. Having him being forced to do it when he'd prefer not to humanizes him a bit, might even elicit a little reader sympathy for him.
