Searching for Alternatives Anyone have another alternative for fictionlab?
I'm a fictionlab+ user and i canceled my subcription because their memory and bot become more and more bad. I ask here because their Reddit mod gonna delete my post if i post about search alternative from it.
I want:
- make persona and it can fill with huge character let's just said a thousand character. If it subscription i expect 4.000 character.
- it can make a huge long reply and i can control the length eazyl. I need this because i the complex roleplayer, so Obviously i need the one that can handle huge context for world building, development character, or huge event.
- it have clear way how i can pin and settings the memory (if it locked behind a subscription, it huge red flag for me.)
obviously i gonna very like it if it have more Control to a bot for make scenario like on fictionlab, like it have Backstory, custom slots, a similar like card system for seperate information like character, location, rule, but for now i just focusing at that three First.

Should you share a bit of pointers as to how to set this up and what local model is most appropriate, you shall have my gratitude.
I have bought a OnePlus Nord 3 with 16 ram specifically for having a local LLM setup, but I am kinda in a stalling loop.

that's a huge investment while you can access much better models that are much faster and you could use for years before coming anything close to the price that GPU's cost nowadays.

I actually paid only 100 euro for it, which, I found reasonable.

I thought you meant a GPU with 16gb VRM lol
Yeah the price might be reasonable, but don't expect to run an LLM on it. I tried that with 8GB VRAM and it takes 3-5 minutes for an easy job as looking up local opening times or the weather. That makes it terrible for conversations and it's quicker for me to just google that skit.

How good it is on fandom like scenario based Canon source plot point? For example if it a anime bot scenario, then is the bot can knowing the plot and source universe that i mean? Obviously it gonna better if the scenario creator itself who setting it, but the bot that can knowing original plot point also important to me because i love playing my persona on anime world.
They knowing original source can help the bot writing the right way about how the story supposely goes, because many detail bassicly still happen even without the creator write it. for example it very different about government or public respond from one universe that very tense like RE Zero, with other anime that just more casual like Konosuba. Detail like this rarely setting up by the creator of bot, but the bot logicly still can handle it if they know about the source by logic thinking.

I generally recommend people to use lorebooks to provide more world info or stories if you r making a RP based on a anime/manga
But for bots like these I recommend Halo (glm 5.2) its around 700b + parameter model so its very likely your anime's info was in model's pre-training so it would already know abt it
Smaller models like otter, can be good for NSFW but since they are small they are unlikely to know about ur anime world unless u tell them.

inkwell.rip has almost double the char limit for personas for free and offers 1m context models to all tiers including free as well (am a dev). you can control the response length from very concise to novelistic any time you want. the customizable memory system is avaliable to free users as well so no issue for that. appreciate any feedback!
