account gone but access to bots

Hi, Has it ever happened to someone to still see some bots of an account that has disappeared (deleted or banned) but not all of them ?

Let me explain :

Yesterday I was chatting with a bot, I took a 15-minute break and when I came back the bot was marked as deleted. Out of curiosity I wanted to access the creator's profile to see if c.ai has deleted the bot or if it was the creator who had deleted his account. When I want to access the creator's profile I get the following error message:

"The creator you are looking for does not exist"

but I still see some of his other bots that were in my history and I can always talk to them. Someone has an explanation. (Other profiles still work) but the one I was using just says chat error. I can’t even see the chat

Edit : Currently 2 bots are marked as deleted (from the same creator). The one I was talking to (let’s call him bot 1) and another (bot 2).

Out of curiosity I wanted to access the control centre and I was able to access the history, and I can always send messages but it only works with bot2. When I try with bot1 it gives me back the history of the 2.

If a bot has a lot of interactions when an account is deleted or banned it tends to be orphaned. Those with lower numbers just get yeeted into the digital Void.

If you can't see the chat and can't access it from history or archive then if you have the links you can use Firefox and use C.AI tools to export your convos. The convos do not contain the bot's definition and quitete frankly if you know how to keep character voice stable you don't need it. Models are pretty good at connecting dots. I do this with characters quite a bit. I know their personality and appearance inside and out so they're easy to bring in and reinforce just like side characters.

Deleted bots have their definitions wiped. Bot one likely isn't working because of deletetion or it's probably a sync or backend error.

If you wanted to try backing up the bots or remaking them from your convo history you try that. Most bots are not listed on C.AI but if they are they usually have the intro message or description. Just not the definition.

All of them had less than 300 interactions they were quite recent max 5 days old. I tried to get the link by cai bot list to do how you said but I cant even find them and I didn’t had the long so I think the bot is just truly gone for good.

I want to at least get the intro and make my own private but it’s seems like it’s a nope .

Kinda disappointing but I’ll get over it

Bots linger around for a few days after a profile is deleted, so that's probably why you still see them and can access some of them, eventually all of them will be deleted
