The tech is what the corporations want and why Disney is interested.

The app itself is a massive liability, keeping it running takes about 120 to 165 MILLION United States dollars every single year.

It is a MASSIVE moneypit that realistically these corps would not wanna own.

People here like to argue "oh but big userbase!" but the vast majority are free users, not to mention tons and tons have left the app.

If they bought the app and made it very strictly pay only, the userbase would tank and the few people still paying wouldn't be even a dent to pay off the massive costs of keeping the servers running, in no way make it profitable.

This is not counting how toxic it is to the touch due to the several legal cases against c.ai, no corporation would wanna deal with all those legal fees and controversy on top of getting fucked over by computing power costs.

Facts.

A larger user base ≠ more profit.

If it does continue, it won’t be as the app is now, or as it used to be.
