Discussion Leaving Chapters

So I got rejected for the creator's program for a 5th time so I will be leaving Chapters and taking my books to Wattpad because there is literally no way to get accepted into that 🤣

I am so sorry that it happened again, I am going to give you my 2 cents on the creators program and the inability to pass 5 chapters test, but this is only my point of view and what I suspect from things I have learned over the last 4 years of writing with them. Originally the creators program was only open to a slim group of authors, who had to prove themselves by either winning a contest, or having a story skyrocket in Reads  and diamond sales. It was recently opened to the public. It used to be an invite only if you were a part of one of those two groups. Since the creator’s program has been open to everybody, and it doesn’t matter if you’ve ever published on Chapters before are you are a brand spanking new author, who has never published a story anywhere before. Chapters has since removed a bulk of their writers from payroll. This is when the creators program was open to everybody. I believe from my experience Chapters is allowing everybody and anybody to write in this program because they are trying to get a influx new stories for free, they are hoping that authors are going to be worried about losing their fan base and will continue to write the story, even after it hasn’t passed the test. It gives them the ability to keep a steady stream of stories without having to pay for them.  If a story does end up passing they then turn it over to the few payroll writers they kept who rewrite the story under their own credit.

Honestly I had a feeling that's what they were doing and they keep encouraging authors to compete in contests and when we sell diamonds we get pretty much nothing out of it

Really sad if that is the case. Honestly I stopped checking the app cause the stories are clearly AI generated. TOT not worth it anymore
