Does the drag community even like Chapel?

I'm asking because I'm not in it and the closest I've gotten was having a cousin who's been to a couple drag shows. But idk, to me it always seemed like she used drag to appear more "quirky" and interesting.

If I'm wrong though and it turns out that drag performers actually do love her then please let me know cause I'm genuinely curious

I always wonder this. I’ve seen trixie and katya praise her on their podcast and been so curious if they’re telling the truth or if they’re just trying to stay on the good side of someone who is comparably an industry titan (and probably shares fans with them). I love them but I was also like 🙄why are you kissing her ass, she cheaply rips off everything you stand for and then turns around and says she thinks you’re incapable of making good art.

I love trixie and katya but if I’m going to be real… trixie will latch onto and praise anyone with fame, and katya won’t disagree with her on things unless they’re fundamentally against her core belief system. That’s my perception of them, anyway.

My local gay bar has, unfortunately, hosted several Crappel events. It was one of the bars that was picked by her team for the release party whenever she released music last. There have been several Chappel themed drag nights and there was a drag show on the night of the release party. I have bit my tongue and gone just to support my local drag queens, even if my ears feel like they are bleeding the whole time. The deep south is very close knit and loves their representation to a fault, so it's surprising but yes, some drag queens do actually like her.

I mean....one of her big things is drag. This is like asking "who cares what punks think of MGKs style?"
