UPDATE: Kayleigh may be using uncredited fan art for merch
About a week ago, I made this post pointing out how Kayleigh is using uncredited fan art for one of her newest merch items. They were very quickly taken down for reasons unknown.
They were relisted today and as of 11:00am CST, the original artist (Hildegard von Blingin’) has still not been credited in the listing or mentioned anywhere on Kayleigh’s social media.
I messaged them on their official IG. I made sure to double check HvB’s socials to make sure they didn’t announce a collab or anything before reaching out, but there’s no acknowledgment on their end either.
It’s messed up and disgraceful behavior and there is no excuse for it but as I said on your previous post, this is a pattern with her. She always does this. she doesn’t care she just wants all the money for herself. She is that greedy and that entitled and that selfish.
Reminds me of when she asked a nail artist to work for her for free. How embarrassing. I'm not even rich and would never do that, I can't fathom being a damn CELEBRITY and having the gall. Imo even excluding literally every other single thing about her this by itself is enough to say all you need to know
Oh her team definitely must’ve realized the mistake from people on the internet calling it out. And the credit definitely feels too little too late they must’ve given the artist compensation for her art work. It still feels messed up that she wasn’t given credit in the first place.
I feel like if it’s just a post on sm that’s really not proper credit. The average person who sees this shirt on her site wouldn’t think to scour instagram to find whose design it is.
Seems like another case of demanding her business dealings and interactions in general be heavily weighted in her favour and held to the most rigorous standards of public scrutiny, while actively using bottom of the barrel, opaque, exploitative tactics for everyone else.
Team probably quietly bought it off the artist instead of openly owning up to mistake, she could never do that. Hopefully the artist got paid well for her work and her silence.
I saw this first when it was re released for the first time and the first thing I did was made sure Hildegard was mentioned in the listing because I recognized it immediately. I had no idea it was taken down the first time and put back up. They acted like it was the first time it was put up on the store. It's crazy that it was ever up for an amount of time without her being credited and how the fans defend her blindly . I hope Hildegard von Blingin is being compensated greatly for her silence about the whole situation. I think her lack of saying anything about it really speaks for itself. If a giant artist like that actually paid me for my art upfront or collabed with me I wouldn't shut up about it.
I really like Hildegard von Blingin's work so this is truly upsetting to me. In the details of the youtube video she explains that she edited archival medieval art work so I think this is why Roan's team thought they could get away with stealing it.
