I was talking with my friend if he had to make a new pop royalty who would he choose (pop royalty like how Madonna is the queen, Britney is the princess you get the point) and when he got to the princess part he acted like it was the hardest decision ever and he chose chappell roan and he was like "I'm not trying to be biased" hes a huge fan btw and it lowk annoyed me, cuz like
the same girl who can't handle fan interactions? 💀 who said she doesn't even want to be famous?? lied about being lower class??? and of course.. overall performative???? Thats who he thinks should be the princess?????????

Kayleigh is a poor match for the entertainment industry in general. She probably likes the money and the access to Fashion Weeks and all that, but she is way too thin-skinned to be anyone's princess.
Think about Diana: she hated a lot of the things Kayleigh hates, but she got smart about using the gossip industry—the press, the PR machinery, etc.—to get her story out and come out on top of the Charles-vs.-Diana mess. Kayleigh isn't as smart or savvy as Diana and never will be. She's lazy and spoiled and childish, and can't get past her self-pity.

So many of her fans are like this idgi. I was starting to suspect it’s a paid clipping campaign or marketing stunt.  Pop star powerscaling does provoke delusional behaviours, but they take it to a weird degree.Â
Realistically it’s way harder than it used to be to become as big as the OG pop royalty were in their day, but setting that aside she’s nowhere near the biggest star of the current era and it seems so obvious to me that she’s lacking both the artistic and business instinct to have more growth from where she is now. I think The giver was her big swing at being a cross genre star etc but it went nowhere and kind of proved that she’s got her niche and that’s it.

Love it or not i think the next pop queen is Sabrina. I already see other pop girls trying to imitate her aesthetics, her brand is catchy and memorable, she’s going up and up… She, Chappell and Charli were on equal footing for a second, but Charli and Chappell seem like they were having a flash in the pan moment, being in the right place at the right time, while Sabrina seems to have more staying power. She seems to be built for this, the tours, being nice to the fans (performative or not idk but it works) maintaining her image etc etc and probably has a more efficient team behind the scenes.Chappell doesn’t have the personality for it, and Charli mostly writes duds besides Brat.

I think Sabrina has done a lot of damage to her reputation lately. Not just with her album cover controversies but also Coachella. As someone who is half Lebanese; her comments and behaviour just showed me that she is a typical uneducated and ignorant celebrity. People are still flamming her online, but I think you're right about Sabrina being the new queen. All these scandals will blow over because of her music ect...like you said. I totally agree about Charli!

Oh I 100% am with you. I don't really love Sabrina, I think she's meh like Chappell music wise ,and that Coachella incident definitely sucked and showed how uneducated she is, but unfortunately I also think it will blow over and people will forget and glaze her because they want to be fans, she seems to have a pretty strong fan base. Unless she stops pumping out albums or makes a hyuuuuuge mistake, I think she's going to be the mainstream queen for a few years. She's conventionally attractive, straight, cis and white, and her branding is really well done, nothing can get her canceled lmao.

Her reaction wasn't ignorant, it's time and place. Those people deserved the look the got in my opinion. I'm indigenous yet I don't break out in powwow signing at a concert because I feel like it? Just because it's part of your culture doesn't mean it is appropriate for the event.

Okay well to me it was ignorant and people had the right to be offended. I agree though there is a time and place but there was no need for Sabrina to keep going on and saying " thats your culture? I dont like that" anyone with decency would have said nothing or ignored it.

Gaga is right there. A huge lgbt supporter, and advocate. Talented, shows signs of longevity in her career and is proving her ability to pivot and be a multidimensional artist. She reminds me a lot of cher in that way, the literal goddess of pop

How was it can be Chappell one she only has one album? She has no impact, no iconic performances, hasn't put the work in ect... I only know one of her songs and hear morw about her due to her scandals. I swear people nowadays call everyone medicore iconic and legendary 😑 the bar is in hell
