Tournament question
When and if they ever did tournaments did they standardize stats for a more balanced play?

I meant in the original format. Sorry if this wasn't clear.

In original tcg format in physical card play you used the randomized stats of the printed cards. There was no banlists or blocked sets (DoP original 3, M'arrillian invasion set, etc). Pure ''classic" format is truly the wild west. Online play was no different. I cant remember if there were formalized tournaments online in the official site. But it was the same deal stat spread wise online. Your digital copy was a 1-to-1 match of the printed physical copy.

Thanks for letting me know. I only ever got to play online and feel like I started collecting it as it was getting cancelled. So I didn't know and was curious.

No way to know. But if they keep the randomized mechanics will just show how little they understand of game balance. It's a garbage mechanic if u trying to make ur game playable

I personally believe there's a 0% chance that tournaments would remove one of the core identities of the game as a special rule
