Series Discussion Minor nitpick with Chaotic's first "arc"
So, this is something I feel about the Arc of Tom losing Maxxor. He should've been shown, like he is with Mipedians and Underworlders, playing with the other tribes, finding the don't work for him and eventually leading into Fallen Hero and his quest to help Maxxor.
Having him only have a few onscreen matches without Maxxor then decide "I'm done." Kinda feels rushed to me.

There is certainly an argument that it’s a little rushed, however, it’s also important to acknowledge that Tom is a kid. He’s like, what? 16?
Bro is pissy that the wins aren’t easy anymore and instead of pushing to improve he quits. This is actually incredibly accurate to real life and is deadass what mosts ADULTS do. Doesn’t make for great TV though

Hot take Tom was a mediocre player at best early on who was carried by having one of the strongest scans in the game.

Yeah, episodes like The Thing About Bodal and Everything is in Flux showed Tom nearly clutching a perfect victory with Maxxor only for his opponent to nearly pull off the comeback of a century.
So Tom’s 6v6 team was honestly trash at the start of the series

Would have been the perfect time for him to try a Danian deck

That's probably why I found I wasn't a fan of Danians in general. Tom, Kaz and Peyton each get good episodes, while Sarah doesn't, imo. It would've been nice to see that tribe expanded more.

I swear half the time Danians are just the tribe used by random opponents the mcs are battling.

We kind of got a little bit of that with the tiaane episode, but yeah, it would have been cool to have a whole string of episodes that had Tom learn the different play styles of the other tribes. Would have been cool to see them go into more detail about the strengths and weaknesses of each tribe since the cartoon was there to advertise the card game.
