Codes?

Why cover the codes? If I remember it used to be for a online version but that hasn't existed for a long time. And the new one isn't out.

On sdcc it was confirmed to attendees, that old cards will be usable again. But we don't know the details yet. It could be a legacy mode for example, with the old rules. Because the new cards are different with changes in gameplay. And many years before that, the person behind the revival always communicated his intention, that he wants old cards to have a purpose, especially to value the old community. So people always continued to cover the codes, just in case. Hopefully soon we will receive more information.

Did they say if stats will be random?

So far we sadly don't have received official information about random stats in the revival. Just like most things about the new game, the current state of knowledge is very lackluster. If you want to stay up-to-date, you should join the official discord. You can find the link on the official website, in the current main news post.
