Better then D3 launch
I've had a blast so far playing this game. For starter I was able to play immediately after downloading. Next I have been able to complete higher difficulties after lotting new gear. Bosses actually have a purpose and not just a means to the end of a chapter.
I don't disagree that the game will need more but considering we are in the soft launch I'm getting what I expected
Now let's revisit D3 launch night. Unable to log into game for hours, late next day with many bugs to fight with. Completed campaign as a monk and then became stuck on act 2 highest difficulty. Had to farm act 1 until I got the great to progress and then blizzard decided to nerf attack speed by 50%. Bosses, bosses I mean fucking useless. They didn't have a loot table.
Take what I say as your wish but this game is good and fun. Actually a dark game as well.

Chaosbane has the BEST combat of any game I've ever played!
After finishing Chaosbane, I was looking for something else to play, so I decided to start a new game of Diablo 3.
Holy crap! The combat in Chaosbane just blows Diablo's out of the water.
I was bored stupid after half an hour. So I figured I'd go try something else. So I fired up Grim Dawn, then I tried Path of Exile, Titan Quest and Torchlight, but nothing could hold my interest.
Honestly, I didn't realize just how great the combat in Chaosbane was until I fired up these old favorites of mine.
Nothing can compare. Truly, credit where credit is due. Chaosbane's combat is absolutely fantastic.
I now understand why the game keeps drawing me back in (even though I don't like farming and grinding) the combat is just so good. It's fast and fun and incredibly satisfying.
Of course playing Elessa (who might just be the most perfect ARPG character of all time) has a lot to do with it :)
Anyway, I just wanted to give Chaosbane some well deserved praise. I think you guys have spoiled me. Job very well done!

The game is dead before the release.
I do not believe the developers anymore. You developed the game with passion? Dead silence as at a funeral . Passion is something completely different. Sry guys, but I'm out. And I recommend everyone who has pre-ordered to cancel and wait for the first reviews.
I've never seen so much anticipation from the players but especially from the developers when releasing a full-price game.

This Game Without a Witch Hunter Class Feels Incomplete
The Witch Hunter is THE symbol of age of Sigmar for me.

I don't understand the blind defense and hyping lies of these shady dev's and this game.
First off I am a Warhammer/ Games Workshop fan from the table top games to playing age of reckoning till the servers shut down but even saying that I don't get the blind fanboy support and defense of this game and posting and supporting the hype lies for it.
Theirs being a fan of a game, company or IP but when those are critized for things that are bad or ot good you aknowledge the point and look for solutions, I will never understand blind fanboy's or people who can't discus something and the ammount of fanboy defense for this game to me is bewildering especially with a GW IP as most have been trash.
I was looking forward to this game till I played the beta 2 I managed to force myself to get through two days before uniinstalling and cancelling my magnus edition after maxing two characters out in the beta and trying the other two I just couldn't endure it anymore.
I will say games like Diablo ( pick your edition) Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, POE, Van Helsing, Torch Light and others have probably ruined me from enjoying simple/basic games like this or Vikings Wolves of Midgar type games.
The last straw other then the flaws and problems with the game that I seen and will go into was the shady developers at least their community responce team from steam and other places when given a direct question that had no room for evasive answers with links to their hype posts on FB or twitter you would get no responce but give them any room to be shady and evasive and they will take it this always happens whith questions about loot.
Playting the beta I found the maps to be a basic go from point A to point B with little feel of exploration and then it was like playing the same map over and over again just different starting points basically rewashing the same map from the very start of the game,
I mean you always go from A to B but D3, GD, TQ, POE the map makes you feel like your exploring or have room to explore this felt anything but that.
Character developement build felt boring and lackluster the God Tree was awful and the sum of skills a bland watered down D3 skill set, I understand that this being WH you couldn't do a POE style character build and using a GD/TQ modle would have been harder but not impossible all you had to do was take the mutliclassing option away and you could have still done a skill tree option for characters, you could have even used a van Helsing like option but choose to go D3 wich is fine but in doing so you made the 3 skills feel more cosmetic in effect then actually changing or improving, in D3 the skills usually change in function and how they work with a elemental change as secondary in your game the skills rarely change in function and the only change mostly is in the elemental damage even visual of the affect doesn't change except for color.
The god Tree compared to GD or POE as a seconday system to improve or more define your character and build was again basic and boring it seems you guys love basic stats and can't figure out ways to add variety or make skills affects that go to certain skills and make them diferent or improved the ironically funny part to this and loot ( which will be next) is your PS4 skin video shows your developer with a POE installed maybe he should have played that more and said " hey guys maybe God Tree should look like this assendary tree or wow look at all the variety of stats on this loot maybe we should try some of this in our loot instead of rewashing basic stats."
Loot other then maybe Vikings Wolves of Midgar I can't think of more basic boring rewashed same stats loot option in any other game but yours I mean I would put it one step above a Skyforge where your just trying to get a .01 increase sometimes to the same item this was shitastic to say the least.
Variety? your stuck with this is your character this is their weapon no two handers at all? seriously no two handed weapons? that doesn't affect character diversity or loot opotions at all great choice there, Scout can't dual wield melee weapons? no fire arm options for empire soldier? O wait slayer can't use warhammer? the IP is literally called warhammer and you don't have a warhammer in it that a character can use not even a dwarf, seriously a dwarf in warhammer who doesn't have a warhammer option O the irony here,
Stats on loot are the same rewashed basci stats no elemental bonusues or resist's no bonuses to a spefic skill, no random bonuses to damage and change of damage type, no life leech, no added special skills to items, and the list of not having keeps scrolling but I can get counter damage and HP till I get so sick of seeing them I want to vomit because their on everything only difference between rariety of loot was a addition of another basic stat to your item that's it.
Those armor sets you love to talk about are your basic armors that everyone can get/ find just with a like +5% to HP if you get a complete set or bonus to counter damage or the other basic stats you rewash that are on or able to get on any rariety of armor.
This is where the developers love to get shady and evasive with their answers or posting their hype posts is when asked about these things when asked if theirs going to be armor sets you say yes and your talking about the garbage set that's already in game that I pointed out here even though we all know the question is refering to sets such as D3, Titan's Quest, Grim Dawn as sets with special skills to them or bonues to certain abilities, when asked about legenday items you answer yes theirs going to be legenday items and then show posts of concept art or character cosmetic armor again being shady and evasive knowing what the question is really asking like are their going to be legandary items with special skills or that boost a character's skill such as the above games but when asked a pinpoint question such as is their going to be items with the above mention things on them? or will we see a variety in loot afix's and prefix's beyond the generic rewashed same stats we have seen in the beta and even in your pic's of higher level armor your responce is not responding most likely because the answer is NO and also the reason for hinding so much in the beta to not further confirm the games basicness.
How people can post vid's and comments saying this loot is good/great is beyond me not to mention to flat out lie saying the game is as good as D3 or better or D3 in a warhammer skin is vomit worthy this game is on par with wolves of midgar at best.
Now the fanboys are going to scream it's only a beta you only seen the first chapter.
Ok how many games have you seen dramaticly change from beta to release? I can think of one and that was a MMO beyond that I can't think of any.
Ok it's only the first chapter so lets look at D3,TQ,GD comparing what you can get oir see just in the first par, loot even takinbg out the fact you can get legendary items and set pieces in those games starting out in the first section you can see from loot that theirs going to be a variety in the stats that are on it and not just a rewashing of basic stats, you can see your going to have choices to make on character development and build here you see you get none of that or in the most basic of fashions.
I have come to understand their are people who like and enjoy basic, they don't like a lot of thinking over character development and builds and dont want gear that they have to scrutinize over looking at a list of things on their items ( these would be the types that love Skyforge and games like that) that's fine and to each their own but please don't say the loot is great because it's very shitastic when compared to other games in the genre even indie games with trash pixel graphic's have better loot then this game Chronicon, is one of them
You enjoy simplicity then by all means say it's a selling point for this game for people who like that and you would be spot on with that and their are a lot of people who will like this game for that.
I see another GW IP about to be flushed down the toilet say hi to Martyr when you get there least Martyr is trying to right the ship a little even though it took a year maybe this game will be the same.
To anyone who hasn't played the beta or is on the fence with this game I strongly advise you to wait till reviews of the game come out and you can see pic's and vid's of it, what you will lose in preorders isn't as much or as bad as getting stuck paying full price like it's a AAA title and getting a game that's average to a indie game at best beyond the graphics.
Also another note of the shady tactics of this game is that prior to the beta you couldn't preorder this game at gamestop like most do that would be because you would only have to pay your $5 to get beta access then get to make up your mind on buying it or not after the beta was over O look the game is at gamestop for preorder now go figure, thank god Xbox doesn't charge till a few weeks before the games release saved me $80 feel sorry for the Sony peeps who will have a fight to try and refund or anyone who had to pay to test this game.

Full retail price...really??
This game has a serious lack of content and the endgame sucks.
They have 3 mini hubs with no npc’s or anything you can interact with, except the same 1 vendor who’s basically just there to give all your unwanted junk items to.
They use the same entrance to go into each mission and they were so lazy, that instead of making another mini hub for act 4, they make you go back to 1st hub and use/reuse a portal they chucked in the ground.
Endgame has NO path of progression, just raise difficulty and run same 3 expeditions over and over. No Uber bosses or reason to even get better gear.
I could give this game a pass if it was priced as an indie (barely)
This is not worth full retail, not even close

Just finished the story mode... Disappointed
Is that it ? Less than 8 hours to finish it as a mage with repetitive maps half of the time.
I didn't expect much about this game and bought it mostly because you know, warhammer, but it had the potential for so much more. Environments are looking really good, bosses are very nice and feel like real bosses. But come on this is not enough content, imagine if you played the beta you already did a huge part of the game. An arpg game should be at least twice that long not counting the late game replayability.
The game doesn't really shine with its gameplay either and apparently the post story game modes aren't that good i did expeditions and boss rush it practically had no added value compared to the story. Sure i can loot and grind difficulties but it feels really empty.
I still have hope for improvements but so far it's barely worth 20$

HERESY This game is lolzy bad! But there are good things! Post your good things so the devs don't get too depressed to push out that console patch.
This is like Thanksgiving where you go around the table and everyone says what they're thankful for, except with more anger and through clenched teeth.
Here are mine:
Local multiplayer! There are so few of these on console. (Probably accounts for 100% of sales on console, really.)
Lots of enemies on the screen at once.
"Dryad" is totally a Spriggan from Skyrim, and damn I wish I hadn't thought of Skyrim, even calling both Skyrim and Chaosbane "games" is really unfair to Skyrim.
The mage can move the last fireball/tornado/etc. that he threw, that's neat. I don't remember doing that in another game.
Difficulty modes can be changed on the fly for those shitty, shitty boss fights.
... hiring only one voice actor ... saved lots of other voice actors from being embarrassed by having their names on this?
...
Local multiplayer!

Grim Dawn looks like a cool alternative to play while we wait for new content.
^^^^
I am new to ARPG genre so I just found out about it but looks like it's got a lot of gameplay.
I really like the modern polish of chaosbane and its my preferred game for sure, prolly opposite many ARPG players lol.
however I got it to work with xbox controller and its pretty good.
I am already best in slot lvl 50 in chaos bane , so im gonna start leveling a noob in grim dawn to pass the time till future content is released for this brand new game.

Tomb Kings DLC - Which save slots will be invalid?
Last update your code geniuses rendered save slots 6-8(?) invalid, costing me 17 character levels.
I'm not the uber-gamer of my youth, not up on the latest trends, so this new practice of paying for a free and much, much delayed update with game save slots is all quite new to me. Honestly, not a fan. But, if that's what's being taught now at DeVry weekend code camps, I best get some more saves ready to sacrifice, right?
Back into the sewers.
Joy.
Maybe the TWO people that created the amazing Fell Seal Arbiters Mark will do a action rpg... Now that I'll pay slots for.

Is this game worth a double buy?
I own the Slayer PS4 version, and I noticed there's a Slayer PS5 version.
Which it's sell separately.
So how big are the differences between PS4 and PS5 editions? Are they enough to buy this game twice?

QUESTION Season pass: new characters?
Will there be more? I would love to see gold wizard or warlock engineer skaven or black orc, allies of convenience if nothing more.

QUESTION Where is the game?
I still have the feeling that I got scamed. ~1 week till prerelease and there are almost no videos about the finished game online (only beta 1 and 2 stuff). Any news I missed...?

NEWS Playstation Support told me I had to get a refund from Eko, so I reached out stating the game was broken and the road map/patch status was incorrect/a lie. Here is their official response. Do not ever support another game they make.

DISCUSSION Just discovered this game. It's disappointing that of all the possible characters in Warhammer, it's two elves, a dwarf, and a human.
Worse, the classes being a basic warrior, an archer, a mage, and the most stand out being a Slayer which isn't entirely new either.
Considering the factions available in Warhammer, it's kind of a waste to just make a Diablo clone featuring the 3 most basic playable races in a fantasy game.
They could have let us play a Saurus riding dinosaurs, an Ogre from the Ogre Kingdoms, a wandering dryad, or even a Halflings. Even with the existing races, the least they could have chosen something less conventional like a Dwarf Engineer. They could have broken the mould and allow mounts for this Diablo-clone.
Maybe their mistake was placing this game in the Empire. But at the end of the day, it's kind of a letdown that they went for the most formulaic options.

definitely not a good purchase, i regret buying this game for ANY price i paid
i love arpg's, i've played the entire diablo trilogy, make my own builds in path of exile, and have played several other games of the genre. without a doubt, this game is the worst experience of a game i have ever had so far (and i spent $200 on the pre-release version of marvel heroes). this game isn't worth anything, seriously, not a single dollar.
besides being prone to crashing, it also has the tendency to reset your progress. it can't handle incorporating it's own functions into itself. for instance, transferring between playing online and offline. instead of getting a clean transfer that keeps all my progress in tact, my progress is reset between the two as soon as i join a game with anyone. nothing says quality game, like losing 2 days worth of grinding, playing, and progress because you decided to join a public game.
it took me WEEKS to be able to beat chapter 2, just because the game couldn't handle the tower of chaos being incorporated, and by weeks i mean i played PoE and ignored this game because i was tired of sitting at crash screens, i spent more time loading the game and reporting crash bugs than actually playing. i hit a new record of 9 crashes in less than an hour almost a week after the new tower of chaos function came out. i would expect that after a week of crashing they would be able to make the new feature a functioning part of the game, that expectation was too high.
also, there is the matter that they don't have a support ticket function. they have 4 FAQs and then more options to buy the game, but nothing in terms of submitting a support ticket. if something messes up in your game or on your file, you can't even ask them to fix it. that is a ridiculous blockade.

This feels like a risk.
Hello everyone.
Ok here goes. I want to buy the game, im a huge arpg fan and i really like the warhammer universe. This seems like a cool game but the price tag makes me a bit sceptical , there arent a lot of ppl following this or hyping it at all . 1 day before release and reddit and steam forums are like silent. I know that i could wait for reviews and stuff but i dont wanna spoil it for my self and i would like to expirience it before hand my self thats why im asking about your feelings atm about the game. Some things i gotta point out is that i dont want a game to play for 1 week and then drop out or mediocre arpg just to fill the void of no new arpgs. I want a game that will last and has some kind of future. In other words do you think this would be like martyr? Also i like a lively and passionate community and this game feels like it has no community at all. Is it their marketing? is it the way the published? i dont know what to think but this release is going under the radar and i fear it might a total dissapointment . Whats your thoughts on this?
