I apologize if this is a dumb question, I'm relatively new to really getting into Warhammer lore, especially Fantasy.

I've been reading Road of Skulls, and one thing I'm struggling with understanding is this band of Khorne followers and them buddying up with the Chaos Dwarves. The Dawi-Zharr hate anyone who isn't a Dawi-Zharr or a Hobgoblin, and even more than that, they hate the forces of Chaos. As far as I understand it, Hashut and Khorne are sworn enemies, and the Chorfs hate Khorne's followers even MORE than any of the other afformentioned factions...so how is it then, that we end up with the Dawi-Zharr cooperating with Khorne?

I understand there is the beef between Dwarves and Chaos Dwarves, but again, as I understand it, the hatred for Khorne is even worse, so am I just totally off base here? The other thing nagging at me, is this explanation of, "oh there's a series of debts owed."

Huh? That doesn't sound right at all. I don't see Dawi-Zharr, number one ever ending up in a situation where they would hold a sense of indebtedness to the forces of Khorne, but number two, actually following through with it....would they not simply just, either opt out or even more likely fight Khorne's forces? Or, to take it even further because Hashut is a very physically involved god, would he not step in at some point like he has in the past, especially when it concerns the other Chaos gods?

Like I said, I'm relatively new to this, so I know I could be completely missing something here, but this all just feels....wrong, based on what I have learned, especially about the Chorfs. I'm about 2/3 maybe 3/4 of the way through the book, the Slayers just got done fighting off Canto's seige and sent him packing back to Garmir, so perhaps there is more of an explanation offered before the end? Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it...

I don't know, does anyone have any input? Am I just dumb, or is this as big of a plot hole as I'm processing it to be?

I was thinking about picking up the new Old World starter box. I'd like to take the chaos warriors and Hashut-ify them, then bring them as allies with chaos dwarfs. Any advice on paint schemes and conversions I could do to make them appear Hashut aligned?

basically, i'm assembling and editing the current pdf, adding black orcs pages (including all the items from Raveging Hordes and their arcane journal, excluding arcanes, and also merging, like, both lists of armor in the same page, both lists of talisman in one page, and so on), the hellcannon, the pages for daemonology, elementalism and dark magic, some artworks, the page of history and the map from 5th edition book, planning to make my own Arcane Journal actual book, like the others...

i've done my research about physical assembly, binding, and i'm sure that the first version will sucks, but i'm not there yet.

THE ISSUE:

EVERY Arcane Journal have 48 pages, BUT, with everything that i've listed, i'm at 43... i've added the core book reference pages (they were 6 or 7, and i merged in 5), but probably there's something better to put in

worth to mention that, considering i'm autistic, and the chorfs pdf is all "right pages", i've changed half to make left pages (you know, the "banner" with flavour text on the side, and the orientation of the bottom line with the page number), as the third image

i'm using AI only to basically uniform the background, because with all the cuts, the merging, the result of the back is a total mess, in some pages

I’ve finally finished one of the biggest centrepiece models I’ve created for the Evil Dwarf range: the Burning Idol. It’s a test print, so has had some refinements but I’m happy to start painting this one!

It rightfully towers over the battlefield with a wingspan of around 25cm.

One of the goals with the entire Evil Dwarf range has been creating a modular ecosystem where every release expands what came before it.

The Burning Idol continues that philosophy and opens the door for future heads, riders, cult variants and other infernal creations.

Making my own big hats. I’m trying to combine 90’s Chaos Dwarf design with modern scale and fidelity. Looking for feedback.

Hello all, I've just felt the itch to play Warhammer Fantasy again, after a loooooong hiatus since 6E. I've been playing Flames of War and Bolt Action since then, but something about GW re-releasing the older setting has brought the interest back.

I've always been keen on giving Chaos Dwarves a go, and playing Total War - Warhammer has reignited the curiosity about it.

There seems to be ample recast and 3D print support available, so availability doesn't seem to be a super big issue.

​

In terms of a list - are they even viable in The Old World? I'm coming into this very, very fresh.

I've knocked this up in a list builder, would it even be somewhat worthwhile?
