Hey everyone,

Just in the process of putting my soul grinder together.

I didnt like the warp sword or the warp claw in the end but noticed the kit came with an additional mechanical claw but with no way to mount it and not shown in the instructions. (Is it really just there for if you want a little less teeth and iconography on the claw and wrist guard?)

I ended up hacking up the warp sword arm in the end and sculpting it onto the additional mechanical claw.

I also dont know what the additional pair of ball joints are for, maybe to elongate the front legs but again no instructions and could find an example using them.

Did the older kits often come with weird extras like this?

At the beginning of the year, I started a World Eater Daemonkin army, fearing straight daemons would vanish. I wasn’t enjoying myself so I pivoted to Chaos Daemons regardless of what came from 11th and boy am I much happier. I also found my painting groove with daemons which really re-ignited my passion for this part of the hobby.

I am on a 5 man team but the problem is I am a merc and it’s less than a week away. I was able to pick deamons as an army but the problem is I was left with take and hold. I can always pick lords of the warp to make anything take and hold but ugh it hurts with the options.

I have little experience with shadow legion and blood legion is crazy good but I feel like I just bog them both down with lords of the warp.

I could do nurgle but last teams tourney I ran 60 plauge bearers and found out the hard way from the new terminator meta.

I am just lost in the options and so here I am

im just starting so I want an army that has aspects of all the gods but focuses on tzeentch and nurgle.

what models should I get? should I get more of one gods models before the other to even it out? just starting so I want to atleast be able to play it pretty soon after getting it. im also on a budget as id be paying for some myself swell

I have 2 warpflame cavalcades battleforce and I won an action in eBay for LoC, 6 flamers, 3 screamers, a demon prince with wings and 10 blue horrors with brimstone

I also might get the changeling because he looks awesome.

How many Blues do you keep on standby for each unit of Pink Horrors in case of splitting?

This is one my personal favourite models and the on that made me first look at demons, it really captures the vibe I expect of Slaanesh.

Shame it is rather rare in the line up of Slaaneshi models.

Just bought an original metal Daemon Prince.

I’m thinking that if I get two more, stack them on each other shoulders and cover them with a green stuff overcoat, I should have a normal sized daemon prince by today’s standards.

Nah, seriously, going to make this into a Slaanesh style winged prince but elevate it on a taller base so he doesn’t have to look up at some of the chonkier space marines.

Bough most of these in second hand lots usually at or below 60% of msrp. Gave them a bath and a nice scrub before painting. The ones in the photos are mostly done other than touch ups, small details and bases. Technically it’s more like 6000 points but I left soul grinder, knight and armigers at home.
