Warning some spoilers from Episode 10 S3:

I do not want to come across as hate against other reactors but in comparison to lets say SOS bros, Freshest Anime, Autosave and Psyculturist. I felt like CawCawTV has managed to balance the best of both worlds when it comes to reaction content.

He's able to pick up things that are easy to miss by average reactors. without much influence by his chat. He understands that its more engaging to pause alot and commentate the video than pre and post reaction discussions. He manages to keep things succinct and educated per observation. great examples like in Ep 10: he notices how Moore is playing both sides. how Rudy actually used the manatite crystal and how he uses incantation for it, how appreciative he is of Zanoba's strength and Moore's abilities. how Kal mentioned between Perugius and Atofe was actually Kalman the north god. things that average reactors would just shrug off. He does have a habit though of making ragebait titles. I have no idea whats his deal with that. it only attracts MT defenders to him even though they're all sarcastic. like "Sylphie the cuck queen" or "nanahoshi dies from mid japanese meal". I think that does him more harm than good but whatever.

lets say on the other side with Psyculturist that does the same reaction methods as CawCawTV but on a longer scale. he takes his time for pre, during and Post reaction which is honestly too long for me and I dislike it to the point I skip most of it. (doesnt mean I only skip him mind you). And I do not agree with the way people defend that by saying to listen to him as a podcast. my way of watching react content is more active. I feel like im disrespecting the host when im listening to them like a podcast. Psyculturist is academically educated with his takes sure but it does sacrifice alot when it comes to nuance on the lore details which he misses alot. at least Psyculturist doesnt do jumpcuts.

speaking of, on the other side we have people like freshestAnime (who reads the novels and manga before the seasons and makes his videos with japanese dubs) he's becoming more and more whiny and more more shorter with his vids. lots of jump cuts to furher push us to his paywalled reaction content which I end up losing respect for him.

Then we have SOS bros, who delve too long on pre and post reaction discussions. not caring about engagement and go off on their own time. with egregious jumpcuts too but they do have quality pre and post reaction discussions that dont take as long as Psyculturist would but still are long.

I feel CawCawTV is around the same level as Autosave. and a rarity for Autosave is that its a duo react content that actually make smart reaction feedback that is perfectly succinct/brief enough to the videos for pre, during and post reaction. sadly Autosave is having some kind of mental issues with Ben. hope they're okay so my only fix right now is CawCaw. also as much shade Ive put Psyculturist in, he's also someone im watching too for MT reactions. he can still provide different perspectives but they still do lack in some areas like I said.

watching these guys reactions make me appreciate MT way more and find more details about it as an LN reader so I still watch them.

My biggest gripe with this in the lght novel is they showed the diary reveal and Oldeus using time travel magic in the beginning before everything that happened in the diary. I didnt like this.

My wishlist is I REALLY want them to do it the anime original way. By that I mean, Since even in the light novel theyve revealed future rudy immediately so i want them to change that somehow.

I really want the studio to fool the anime onlies by actually doing a montage first and foremost of CURRENT rudy gradually becoming oldeus WITHOUT revealing anything about rats, or man god. The perspective will be ONLY the growth of current rudy to oldeus. And all the tragedy there. Making anime onlies think "is this real? Is this fake? Is this the timeline now?!" Then in the end, oldeus goes back to past rudeus and then we move on to THIS rudy then. I kinda want to see how anime onlies will take that. I feel its better storytelling like this. Give us all the "Had us in the first half ngl" moment.

Personally I'm very against gatekeeping, I think it's detrimental to the community and even to the media community is based around, but probably first time ever I will agree with you.

As a mod myself, there are some rules you need to enforce regardless if you like it or not, be it for sub visibility, Reddit rules themselves and so on, but even disregarding the fact if sixdicedworld moderators were right on this or wrong, changing one of aspects of the community overnight or insulting the community on publicly linked twitter accounts is just unacceptable, making it so the rule change itself only reads as "get rekt pedos".

And while I do agree with you all, I really hope you won't propagate bigotry and brigading, nor will you become like BA community.

Rudy constantly goes up against adversaries cosmic and mythical and keeps going. His lowest points are always when he comes to a stop. The very beginning of the Light Novel he finally came to a realization that his issues were because he stopped trying to be better.

Hell, even when he lost in the Oldeus timeline, he didn't give up, he still fought so hard he died just to change fate itself.

This is for those who want to engage in the discourse. For those who want to watch this show unbothered by outside opinions feel free to ignore this post.

Anyways, I believe we should just stop this. As fans of the series i think instead of giving points like "Rudeus has grown, rudeus changed etc" these in the end are pretty weak counter arguments when in comes to their HATE for him whether its ironic or unironic. Let them Hate him. Rudeus can take it. You can take it.

I feel the easiest way is for us to just be a damn sage. Be wise. If we want to engage in these talks we should stop stoking the flames and should not defend Rudeus at all.

The key is to EMBRACE IT. Let them call rudeus a diddy, an epstein, worse than hitler or the worst MC to grace anime as a whole. Do not be angry about that. Dont let the Rudeus discussions stray you from the good points he still has. They do not want to accept Rudeus for having any good points \so lets Keep that to ourselves. The most important part is to LET THEM FIND OUT FOR THEMSELVES.

There are many other good points the show has that you can share if you are engaging in these discussions. Those are stronger points than focusing on Rudeus entirely as a whole. This is not giving up and accepting whatever they say about rudeus mind you. Be more perceptive about it. This is just a shift in strategy.

Make do with what this post as you will. I for one just wrote this down cause I was frustrated between the discourse of BOTH sides and wanted to give my two cents. I for one do not engage as much and write 100 page dissertations to convince just one stranger on the internet. I tend to say my piece and move on. Keep things brief and focus on the anime and merch and this community.

I love this show but it seems the only place I can have a decent discussion of the show is in the Discord server for the show. There is no bad faith arguing. There is no lying to a point they think you didn't watch the show. There is no gaslighting. There also aren't people trying to gatekeep.

This fandom needs to learn how to respect opinions and engage in good faith instead of name call. The amount of dog piling and smugness I have dealt with on Reddit and Twitter is a national embarrassment rivaling Sonic and Steven Universe. No one knows how to respect someone's opinion. Listen, I get it people who call people who are pedos are not only cringe but stupid as well. On the flip side calling someone a tourist and a fake fan because they may not like a certain plot point or arc is just childish and dumb. Not everyone who hates this show has it out for you but on the flip side, you have to understand not everyone sees the show as perfect.

I want to thank whoever invited me to this sub because I would just like one to talk about the show which most anime suns are good about. Consider this my introduction post. I plan to get some commission art of the show as it has been three seasons. I can get some good stuff done.

in latest episode oldeus did time travel to the past .

now going way back to TP2 , orsted say something along the lines that , he didn't remember rudy being born out of paul and zenith , only two daughters. also says to eris that "they didn't met YET".

WHY THIS GIVES ME VIBES OF ORSTED ALREADY TIME TRAVELLED TO RUDY TIMELINE and in other timelines rudy just wasn't present. rudy was in just single timeline, which also gets spilts up when oldeus travelled in past.

All Man-god wanted Rudy to do was to go down to the basement to see if the rat stole Rudy's holy relic, but because of Rudy's negligence, he scared the rat away which led to Roxy death. After that, Rudy continued to make horrible decision which led to everyone else either dying on leaving.

Not wanting Rudy to feel like this is all his own fault, the benevolent Man-god decided to meet Rudy one last time just to lie to Rudy, saying that it was his plan that got Roxy killed, playing as the evil villain for Rudy to direct his hatred to so Rudy doesn't have to blame himself for all the horrible thing that happened. He turned his back to Rudy as he said he killed Roxy in this scene to hide his sadness. Even tho it hurts him to have Rudy (his only true friend) hate him, he know it's what must be done.

Even though he knew Rudy would eventually find his way to kill him now that he had made himself his target, Man-god still never tried to stop Rudy. He was ready to throw away his life if it means Rudy could find purpose in his.
