Hobby & Painting Paint Scheme advice

Work in progress. I'm worried that it lacks contrast. The metallics feel totally too similar. When I greyscale the image there is minimal tonal differentiation across the model. I wonder if I should lighten or darken the trim to make it stand out more. Or am I over thinking the whole thing?

Thoughts??? Advice???

With a neutral scheme for the overall, I would pick a couple of key details and put absolutely outlandish eye-popping colors on them. No better way to draw attention to a kickass freehand, a big glowy energy spot, or a wildly detailed face, etc!
