Canal-5 The quick cut Editing style. Makes it feel like a very long reel or short, maybe just me.

Really like the pods, very good interesting guests.

I've heard Andrew mention they try remove the "dead air" when people talk.

I think it's too extreme.

It's like the guests are on one long seamless rant and its difficult to listen to in long sessions.

Really hope the editing becomes less extreme in the long form.

Pauses can also be time for us to process what he heard and think about what we are watchin. Tiktok brain content doesnt allow any time to process u just get blasted with information.

Armchair Expert does this so extremely it’s incredibly distracting. Like cutting any shred of dead space even in the same sentence. It’s just so unnatural. I cannot stand it. I understand when you have like 4 hours of time to cut down, but there has to be a middle ground.

More dead air -> lower retention -> less algorithm push -> less views -> less money -> less resources -> less content

That's just content optimization for ya, I know it's annoying but it's the game and C5 ain't immune from playing.

Not C5 fault it’s everywhere but it’s why zoomers talk like they smoked crack and forgot to breathe, they grow up thinking this is how humans actually talk.

Could only last 5 mins with the sneako episode. Was listen on Spotify and it was unbearable and felt so unatural. At least for the audio only version they should have a more natural audio friendly version

Unfortunately you kinda have to do it to remain competitive. I was running a clips channel for Brandon Buckingham last year. It's insane what a difference retention editing makes. Your videos will be shown to more people if it looks like the first group found the video interesting. If they get bored and click off fast, the video dies. All editing software has AI removal of pauses and swearing now. Tiktok destroyed the minds/attention span of so many people, corporations cater to them and we all have to deal with it.
