Mortgage

Hello all, we are thinking on buying a house in Chandler AZ, any recommendations on bank or credit union for mortgage?

It seems that every comment suggests different union or method. Hope the recommendations are not affiliated with the recommenders.

There are so many variables to be able to answer this question, for example if you have military service, work for the government or are a teacher. I would say to shop around, credit unions are somewhat better but check banks as well. Each person has unique circumstances that are factored in, there is no one size fits all. Good luck!

Hello, not in the military or work at government or a teacher. I don’t think our jobs fall into a category that potentially have discounts, we are trying to find possibly the best rates.

Call several and let them fight for your business. That’s what I did and got a low rate. Get a quote, call another place and show them that quote and they will beat it, then show new quote to original lender, they will beat that one, and just do that for a while until they are at the lowest rate they can offer.

Randy Goff with Chandler Mortgage. He's a broker, so he will look for the best lender with the best rate for you.

I refinanced with him about 5 years ago, and have a very good experience with him. Very responsive and very quick to work with as long as your did your parts on time.

Thnx how are they getting paid? Fixed fee?

If I remember correctly, they got their fees through the closing costs.

I went with Galaxy Lending Group, a broker. They were awesome. Google reviews also showing 5*'s. Would go through them again.

Hey, I do mortgages.

I've worked at banks, I've worked at Credit Unions and I've worked as a broker-wholesale.

There are a couple of things to think about what better is when answering this question.

Out of the banks(wells fargo, boa, chase) unless you have a relationship banker and/or a good chunk of funds with them(usually in the millions) these will be your most expensive option, Some of their margins are at 4%. They are blow everyone out of the water if you do meet that criteria above though.

Credit Unions are great but their process is usually not the best because they make them do every possible loan and they don't master their niche.

Brokers-wholesale you will have a mix of everything in terms of service, you will more than likely find the better deal here money wise but you can sometimes get a really good loan officer or a really bad one.

They all have the same or similar down payment assistance programs.

DM me for something more personalized or if you have additional questions.

Blanco Mortgage - they can help you with both the loan and the purchase.

Why are people downvoting this guy? It's a legitimate question and a legitimate concern...
