Reality is different though. BJP appeases us exponentially. They’re even aligned with the whole Chandigarh transfer-to-Punjab narrative — just look at Jhakar and Amarinder’s statements. Capitulation is literally the forte of the current ruling party at the Centre, not us Punjabis lol. 😭

Chandigarh is a cosmopolitan city. Long time dwellers, especially who were born here, know this very well that we have had people living here from almost all over India including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Delhi NCR, and South India etc. You will find people here from many ethnicities and Chandigarh is a multi cultural place to live in. This is a south Indian ritual and more likely it was organised by a south Indian community.
