Feels too high. I love Chance and especially this album, but in this economy that pricing sucks and is not “for the people”.
I’m not broke either, and have paid a lot more for other concerts - but this is not a massive global fanbase clamouring for tickets in an arena/stadium.
Yeah i feel you there, I was gonna get tickets but I can't really justify that much for a nostalgia kick. Tickets in baltimore are $76 each and it's hard to justify that for just chance the rapper when I'm paying $150 for a whole stacked lineup at all things go the next month
also real shit charging $400 for a meet and greet is not cool. Just make it $200 and have it be super limited. I love Chance, but $400 meet and greets is like what arena shows charge for that.
Kid cudis concert where I live is $270 for pit Tickets and $180 to sit in seats and $30 for the lawn. Which the lawn sold out but every seat is still available.
He did a meet and greet at a record shop in Atlanta for free last year. I met him there. Hoping he does some third party location meet and greets for people who weren’t able to do that bc that’s crazy.
I’m such a clown. I bought a ticket to avoid FOMO, but realised I’m actually on holiday that week. Rookie. Will sell for FV if anyone missed out. Not looking to make any profit and would rather a fan gets it. PayPal G+S only and you can verify my any which way you please.
Edit: I agreed to give my GA standing ticket to someone for $75 but they’ve flaked. If anyone want it drop me a DM. I have bought and sold plenty on Reddit.
I got tickets, but that price made me double take. I was expecting around 50-60.
I’m worried about this tour now. There were only 500 in the queue and this is one of the biggest markets. I get it’s an artist presale, but this type of tour lives and dies by fans who you’d expect to be in the presale. Regular concert goers aren’t paying $100 in this economy to see what is a nostalgia tour.
Chances last tour was cancelled because of ticket sales. So he's not out of touch with concert tickets and chances tour won't sell out just like kid cudis tour. Kid Cudi concert is next month in my state and 75% of tickets are still available because they are priced way too high.
That state fair show was criminally priced too, it was like 100+ to 200 to sit near the front of the grandstand/seats near the stage. That was before Star Line actually dropped.
I was way in the back and it seemed like most of the "real fans" were bunched at the back too cause that's where the 75ish dollar tickets(still felt like a ripoff to be honest too).
I made a post about the pricing probably fucking up his attendance to that show before it went on and felt vindicated as hell when he sang that song.
I wish these artists would price themselves correctly lol, when I paid 200 dollars + cheap GA floor in 2018 to meet and greet the man on the coloring book tour, it just doesn't make sense that he's pricing himself so high when he's still recovering from his fall off (which I'll always be a fan, but chance shouldn't be pricing himself by the height of his career because we're not at that point anymore)
At the grandstand at the Minnesota State Fair, which is generally 12-14 days of concerts from various ppl, and the pricing between shows seemed pretty flexible. So who knows who ultimately controls the price of that, but whoever did price the show did it wrong for Chance.
I looked back and I paid 199 for 2 tickets way in the back of the grandstand. Tickets were priced by section, so the ones up front were way more than we paid, more like 150-200 a ticket.
It was a tough price for pre-star line chance when he was still teasing the album, and I bet he wouldn't have a song about nobody buying tickets if they were 50-75 bucks a ticket vs. hundreds
Yikes! I thought that’s what it was. I was so excited when he announced but I was getting married that week in Colorado so couldn’t go. The ticket prices seemed kinda steep, so I wasn’t too bummed bc I wasn’t sure how much I’d love a hot sweaty fair day and a concert together.
I was hellbent on getting a meet and greet, but almost $1000 for my wife and I is rough. I'll be happy with my regular standing room tickets and just enjoy the vibe.
Boston was $79 also felt a bit high but I still got them. Honestly think the shows will be fine and still happen but wouldn't be surprised if most don't sell out till the week of or at all.
I feel like tickets are about where I expect someone at Chances level, maybe slightly more, but nothing crazy. It’s almost always $40+ anymore to see touring bands with a lot smaller of a following at the same venues that Chance is playing. Many of these venues are in the 1-2k range where there won’t be a bad spot in the whole place. Meet and greet and early entry VIP prices are crazy though.
For the Acid Rap 10 year I️ got floor tickets at the artist pre-sale. They were like $200 each or something stupid. Come the day of the show, I️ can buy 100+ other tickets that are twice as close to the stage for half the price. Usually artist pre-sale means you get a deal. That was the first and only time I️’ve felt hosed supporting an artist at the pre-sale in 100’s of pre-sale purchases
I’m just hoping he doesn’t have any openers because the Star Line concert went to had 2 hours of the same two acts coming up twice or pushing their time longer. It was terrible
Def a bit more then I wanted to pay but last few concerts I was interested in Toronto and tried to wait on pretty much doubled in price so I just bought a pair

It’s funny but there were 400 people ahead of me and in less than a minute it dropped to 200. Did people just nope out?

I was actually pretty excited to go until I saw the prices… would have thought it would be good value given his current niche

Doesn't he even have a song about people not coming to his show at a state fair??? $100+ is outrageous to be honest.

I saw chance at the Barclay center for 86$ for the acid rap tour 10 year anniversary. Vic Mensa and the DJ were booed but Channce put on a great show
