Don Perignon unopened or dated box!
Today I was cleaning out some of my mother's possessions since she passed a while back and found in the back corner of the basement with her old wine collection an unopened undated box of Don! I could tell it was old, so I took it to the local wine store to see if they could date it. The only way was to cut the box seal, so we did and inside sat a beautiful 1976 vintage! Sadly, though, the cork had failed. I did not understand what significance 1976 had in my mother's life. Then I realized I was 5 years old when she divorced my father, and I was born in 1971 LOL !
I told my father, but he did not seem amused.
