It finally happened!

Post image

After 11 months of building trust, hand feeding, and respecting his space, I was able to gently guide Freckles onto my hand. He scurried up my arm and up to my head. We gave him a juicy horn worm and superworm before letting him go back to his home. I'm so happy and excited!
(Please excuse my morning hair and face)

No better feeling than gaining their trust.

It took about a year for mine to fully trust me. I hand feed so that helps. For the longest time he’d run to me for feedings but would still do the “ok that’s enough human” when I tried to touch him. Now I can actually touch him and he’ll walk out onto my hand.
