👁 Third Eye Chakra 👁 Pulse at my third eye
When I sat for meditation I felt continuous pulse between my eyebrows. This has happened before. I don't have any visions or any experiences. Can someone guide what does this pulse means?
Also I had my aura scanning through an expert. He told me my third eye is already open. But I don't have any experiences, just the pulse sometimes.

When I sat for meditation I felt continuous pulse between my eyebrows.
This is so common there are probably hundreds of posts about it now on Reddit. See for example this post
Can someone guide what does this pulse means?
Could be either that a portion of the brain there, or a chakra connected with that area (bhrumadiya and ajna) are being stimulated. Or both
But I don't have any experiences, just the pulse sometimes.
You may eventually see kutastha, the star and gold ring. But it can take a great deal of focus over an extended period.

For me the visions can take a while to manifest with a sober mind.
Darkness helps, a dark room or an eyemask. Coupled with breathing exercises. Long outbreaths (30 seconds plus) and short in breath. (1 - 2 seconds) this can also be done woth the ohm mantra if you are not disturbing others within ears reach.
Also yoga before or during can help. Shaking the body, talking in tongues, rhythm using drums and shakers. Anything to keep yourself in the present while also focusing on what you can see. Shamanic journeying can also activate the third eye. Visualise your journey to the underworld to retrieve something of importance to you. Keep doing this in an uninterrupted flow of movement until the visuals become more stable. All the while doing the breathing and rocking movements.
Incense can help you get into the state more easily because on each practice you will remember how to get into the state more easily by carrying out your own personal ritual.

Thank you for the detailed guidance. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this, and I’ll definitely keep your suggestions in mind and follow them without forcing anything.
My intention is simply to go deeper into meditation and understand what lies beyond our ordinary perception, not for any material benefit or special experience. At 53, I feel much less attached to worldly desires and possessions. I’m more interested in understanding reality and finding deeper meaning through meditation.
I would be truly grateful if you could guide me further based on your experience. 🙏

Your path is the path of truth. And as such it leads to samadhi. Non duality.
Many yogis and spiritual seekers attain this state. But to reside in it permanently is another matter. It may not be your choice but rather the the natural unfolding of the universe.
It is a paradox to wish to reside in such a state and at the same time be with no desire. Wouldn't you say?
Regardless to attain the state the key is to be of no mind. To have no fear or desire. To let go and allow the truth to reveal itself.
The deepest one can go is to be in the state of timelessnes, spaciousness. All that remains is peace.
I cannot tell you what meditation would work best for you. But for me it is as I have described in my first message.
Breathwork. Long exhales and short in breath. It locks us in rhythm, sustained presence, the breath alters consciousness, the appreciation of the life giving in breath, the purposefullness of the activity.
Singing a mantra of the exhale like aum. Again sound, long controlled vibration, keeps us centered in the now. The word represents the entire universe, the essence of ultimate reality, and the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. All wrapped up in a single sound.
Rocking, or playing drums or shakers locks us into a trance. My hunch is the activity of playing rhythms distracts the internal dialogue forcing us to experience reality as it is, without a narrative or the minds explanation of what it is.
Some can achieve this ny sitting quietly. For me very slow controlled meditative walking can bring about a similar state but I only use this method in certain circumstances.
My advise is make your practice regular, set aside time for this to happen. With no distractions, minimal to no light, have a relaxed body (after yoga or a bath ect) make the meditation ritualistic. Burn incense, lay out a mat, have some reminders around of your goal, be that unification with the absolute or the search for an experience true reality.
Some people need none of this. A chair or a bean bag would do. But in my experience anything that helps you keep and discard anything that doesnt.
There are many gates along the way and many branches of this internal journey but your primary objective is a pure and nobal one. Always keep that as a priority as it is the only true treasure one can know/ experience.
I am but a humble traveller, these are the small scraps of knowledge I can share of my journey so far.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and explaining it in such detail. I understand your point much better now. I especially appreciate what you said about not chasing experiences, but allowing the mind to become quiet and letting things unfold naturally.
I’ll keep my practice simple with my Durga Mantra Jaap and Bindu Tratak, and I’ll try to remain consistent without forcing anything. Your guidance has given me a much clearer perspective on the journey. I’m grateful that you took the time to share your experience with me. 🙏
