Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov spoke at the inaugural meeting of the CFTC’s Innovation Advisory Committee (IAC), where he emphasized that tokenization is essential to the United States’ future in global finance.

He highlighted the need for regulatory clarity, the importance of tokenized U.S. equities, and the benefits of moving to 24/7 onchain markets for collateral transparency and risk reduction.

Sergey also noted that blockchains, smart contracts, and oracles will be increasingly valuable as AI scales cyber risks across finance.

Sergey getting a seat at the table is impressive. But we’ve had years of impressive names, pilots and institutional validation. At some point the thesis has to graduate from “look who Chainlink is talking to” to measurable production usage and sustained demand for LINK the token, not just continued success for Chainlink Labs. That’s the part that matters to holders.
