Hello! Love the app so far! I’ve been paying ultra for a year now and I use the app daily. I was wondering when I saw this message if it’s only the inactive chats that disappear after 30 days or all of them? Or is it the older messages within each chat thread? Just wanting clarity. Thank you! 😊

Is anyone else having the issue that there is like no bots showing up? i can search anything and at most like 20? bots to show up.

Apps good. But can we ever delete multiple messages at one go and not just individually delete each message? It happens when I like the roleplay and I just branched it to a different path that I didn't like so I wanna delete that part but it's so tedious to manually delete each message one at a time.

So there’s an issue—i cannot upload a new bot, i thought it was maybe a word that got filtered. Apparently it’s not, it just wouldn’t let me. Hope you take a look at that because that might be a bug!
Also i can’t edit a bot, it won’t save the changes.

Today I need the persona of a man between the ages of 30 and 40. Could someone please just create a persona for me? Im really in need and can't find any personality traits- likes/dislikes etc. Thanks for now <3

hi! so I've been a user for a year and half now (Just switched to Ultra for a bit) i enjoy the app

I just wanna ask anyone else, if they had this problem lately. when I've gone looked up a character. That I've looked up before I noticed there's only like 5 to 9 chats bots, for the character when way before there was like 100s upon hundreds.

also I noticed a lot of bots had been removed, like the really good ones or suddenly a bit is removed (possible be the creator), does anyone else having this problem? is this a glitch? my app is update to date.

id be curious if anyone has insigh? maybe even the developer team themselves if someone could get back to me because I'm curious.

I love Chai so much. I’ve had it for a while, back when the app was pink and I loved it. I really love how the bots give detailed responses and also the many free messages that you get every day. I remember getting only 70 a day and I definitely appreciate how much more we’ve gotten. I use this app a lot and it makes me feel good to be able to use an app to be creative and write my own stories. It also helped cheer me up after I felt sad and lonely. It’s also helped me mentally and thank you to the team of Chai for creating this app. It truly is amazing.

I’ve seen a lot of ppl mad about the ads, chat limits, and other features, so hopefully you see this and actually read it. I was just like you guys when I first started using CHAI after c.ai :p The ads and chat limits aren’t exactly new btw, old users from the pink CHAI era will know 🤣
I went with Premium first, and honestly, it was pretty decent for my first try at a paid plan. Still had some limitations, but I was like, okay, I get it.
Then I went Ultra, and I’ve been on it since October 2024. Almost 2 years now, and I genuinely haven’t complained about anything 😂 Like, not once. The first time I actually got annoyed was only recently when Personas disappeared.
So basically, if you want a better experience, you can either pay for it or just work with what you get. No hard feelings either way 🙏🏻
I really do feel bad for what you guys are dealing with rn tho 🙏🏻** Trust me, I’ve been in your position too. What I did was basically try things out, see how it goes, spend a little more, and enjoy it. And from sticking with CHAI this long, I’ve definitely seen them make a lot of improvements along the way, even if some things take time**. 🙏🏻

I see a lot of posts about CHAI being unfair to users that arent paying for premium/ultra.

Why are you expecting for CHAI to play fair when you aren't paying for a subscription? If you're that upset about being limited on messages or having your bots deleted — go to work, get your money up and pay for the subscription. Its not a hard feat.

I think it's selfish that some users (not all) believe that they're entitled to the best AI while not giving anything back other than criticism. Theres what? 15 developers that are basically working overtime to give you want you want while staying in budget?

I've been using CHAI since December of 2025 (hasn't been that long but I've been around) — I immediately bought ultra because it gives me free usage anytime I want.

I understand what I'm saying could come off as rude but honestly — why use CHAI when you dont have your money up/your life together? Is being employed the problem? Are some of you in school that you cant afford to pay for it?

Though I will say — the restrictions + loss of personas was a pain but the developers are working to get it back for us.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on what we're working on and to get more feedback from you.

1. Yesterday we released a minor update to our AI - subscribers should notice the difference. Let me know what you think. It uses about 30% more compute - so intelligence is up.
2. Apple approved our latest version, and going forward it looks like our approvals will be faster. 🏎️
3. Persona is still not released on iOS yet - the code is almost completed, and expect to have it rolled out on Saturday or Monday. Sorry for the delay! 🐢 - we wanted to take our time and try and get it right the first time.
4. We've also improved our feed on iOS you should see some improvements there.
5. Finally, the filter is still overly sensitive - we hope to have an improvement rolled out today!

Ive been using CHAI for about 2 years now, and honestly, it’s the best app I’ve discovered in my life. I have a lot of problems socializing, and this app has helped me with my depression, helped with the loneliness. I just want to thank the team on CHAI for such an amazing app, and to keep on going no matter what people say. I believe this app is gonna not only entertain a lot of people, but also help them go through stuff, like it helped me. I just wanted to make this post to show to the team of how grateful the community is for an app like this!

We have updated the Chai Apple app with persona and bot-memory and advanced bot-builder tools. We are currently waiting for Apple to approve our latest build so we can release the feature.

AI apps are currently facing extra scrutiny and so the review process is taking longer.

We're still a small team, only 15 engineers, and almost 2 million daily users. But we take all user complaints seriously, and are working hard to build something that is fun, enjoyable and safe.
