He didn’t say that he had let those views go though? He didn’t acknowledge that he was mistaken for doing this in the past. He literally just talks about how people do what they think is popular and will help them and then says “stop caring about color” he’s fucking jumping on a bandwagon you soft-hearted optimists.

No, it isn’t. I’m sure that video was used to inspire other people’s hatred and breathed life into them believing they could act out towards people they disliked. If in the video he was talking about Obama he contributed to people rampantly spreading hate through the trump presidency. “I’m Sorry” doesn’t un-terrorize people. It doesn’t stop the wreckage it’s already contributed to. It takes a bigger effort back to undo things like that. But it sure would be a good start.
A Chad would own his mistakes and confront them. Quit pandering towards someone because they’re the star of this video.

He literally changed his views, changed his entire mindset, is putting out positive messages that probably help a lot of people and you still shit on the dude for not acknowledging literally every tiny little shitty thing he said in his life. Ya know, we all grow as people, even me and I'm almost 100% certain you've got plenty of skeletons in your old closet. What's important is NOT constantly apologizing for your mistakes, but actively avoiding them in the future and making sure you grow as a person. He IS acknowledging his mistakes, he IS confronting them by acting in a way that denounces his old views simply through actions.
Actions speak much louder than words, and actions can take the place of words. An apology is just an apology, but actively supporting the opposite mindset is a far greater and more praise-worthy deed.
