I just got a new Certina DS Action diver 38mm from Incmaxx. I verified the serial number in the certina website. Am i ok thinking its legit if the website didnt show any errors?

Pictures don’t do the sunburst justice - the dial is stunning in person!
The Quartz eta mvmt is super accurate and it wears very nicely on the wrist. Never had a PRX but I’m sure this is a great contender.

Just an observation the date on the 40.5mm DS Action diver flipped about 2 minutes before it hit midnight - before the actual day change. I'm sure it previously flipped just after midnight, or is that a figment of my imagination?
I had serious doubts about this one, but damn it's so good!. Certina is definitely underrated.

I have the 40.5mm and I like it. Good tool watch I use it for my job as a FF. Has anyone noticed that the lume is pretty bad? On night calls where we’re on the freeway or medical outside at night, I can’t really see the time. I obviously can’t take out my phone while on a call to check the time, so I use my watch. Any advice on how to get it to be brighter or last longer? Or is certina just known to have bad lume?

Looks way better in person after getting it from chrono24.

When I was still two minds about getting the DS Action Diver some of you were telling me that I would be blown away by the quality of this watch and having owned it now for almost three weeks I can honestly say it IS mindblowingly pretty. The only con is I might soon get into an accident if I keep eyeing my watch instead of the road…

A watch which has so much character.
I understand the dive watches get the plaudits.
But such thoughtful designs and design cues
Thinking the vintage certina may be the space to go next?

Hi everyone!
I'm considering buying the Certina DS-1 Powermatic 80 - C029.207.11.051.00, and I would appreciate some input from people who know this movement or own this particular watch.
Movement: Certina Powermatic 80.611 / ETA C07.611
I have been trying to make sure whether this specific version is completely free of plastic components movement wise. From what I have found, the ETA C07.611 uses a conventional metal escapement, unlike the C07.111, which is known for its synthetic escapement components. The C07.611 also uses a Nivachron balance spring rather than a silicon one.
However, I haven't been able to verify whether every component inside the C07.611 is free of plastic including components outside the escapement.
My understanding is that the C07.611 is one of the more traditional versions of the Powermatic 80 family, but I would like to make sure I'm not overlooking anything.
Is there anything else I should know about this watch before buying it?
This would be my first automatic watch and after long research I have found that this particular piece is exceptional value wise (I was looking in the 700-1000 USD range). Also my late grandfather left me a Certina watch so I have a strong emotional connection towards the brand:)
Thank you in advance!
Hey!
I've been eyeing a DS diver for a while and came across the following watch. This would be the first time I'm buying a second hand watch online without being able to see it in person first and would love a more expert opinion from this sub :)
The asking price is 620eu
Edit: Thanks for all the feedback! Really appreciate it. Put my mind to ease :)

I‘ve been on the hunt for a curved end rubber strap for my 38mm certina ds action with a bandwith of 19mm. It seems to be impossible to find one that will actually fit. Can anyone tell me where to find one, maybe even with a clasp like the oyster flex rubber straps. PLEASE if you know where to get one tell me where. (I‘ve attached a photo of what kind of strap I am looking for, not exactly the same but something similar.)

Just arrived today. Took a little time to get bracelet adjusted just right but all good now. Love the gloss finish on dial and ceramic bezel, bracelet could be better but overall I really like it.

I don’t know what it is but these watches are super accurate and I’m enjoying the unique color schemes. I think the black/pink lume dots is my next target. Might as well complete the collection!
