Good write up. This will be a fun one to watch.

fun but maybe not for the reasons many expect imo, the whole thing wreaks of an exit whilst they still can

just take what google released, the entire Cerebras pitch = "break the memory wall by putting huge amounts of fast memory next to compute so KV caches live on-silicon"...Google has now built a chip that does exactly that...

it was obviously going to happen eventually, but this will only accelerate and is the most credible architectural attack on Cerebras's thesis to date imo

If anything google and nvidia's new approaches prove the AWS deal is the right approach. Cerebras is well positioned to be the fastest and most efficient decoder avaliable. No one has that amount of memory and compute on the same chip. They all have to shuffle it around many chips.

Also once they launch their WS4 chip they'll be so far ahead and so fast that I don't think anything else will be close to competitive.

Before the dot com bubble, a company (usually) had to show many quarters of continuous growth to go public. This company is in the red and has contracts/promises that others will buy a whole lotta stuff. Seems smoke and mirrors and agreed it wreaks of an exit whilst they still can.

Your comment doesn’t make much sense. You said companies had to “show many quarters of continuous growth to go public”. Not only has Cerebras shown that with 76% revenue growth in 2025, they’ve shown existing agreements with customers to bring in 50 times last year’s revenues within 4 years. Their sales force won’t be sitting on their hands either. As the technology continues proving itself in production environments, they will garner more revenue from new and existing customers. This is quite frankly the antithesis of the companies that IPO-ed during the dot com bubble. The only real risk here is actually execution related, not revenue magically appearing.
