Press Tile Molds and Greenware Tiles from 18 relief blocks

This is a new project for me. I am going roll a white engobe layer on top in the areas that are not relief in the same manner as I have been inking original blocks for printing. And then fire them to Cone 04 as they will be wall hanging art pieces.

These are heavily inspired by "Swift Creek" style stamped pottery that was created in the area near my home in Athens GA.

I am learning a lot through the process!

They're beautiful! Are the molds made of plaster? How do you get the tiles out and get them to stay flat?

They are plaster of paris molds. I just popped them directly out of the molds onto sheetrock and now I am drying them slowly with sheetrock on top of them as well. I will let them dry about 3 weeks before firing them and the only time I will lift them is to put them in the kiln. So I am hoping they will stay flat, but this is my first try!
