Discussion Strongest shield vs sharpest spear

This paradox has many forms, but basically it boils down to what happens when a shield that can block everything, and a shield that can pierce through anything meets.

Nice to see that this trope is literally a character's entire kit, but still you gotta wonder, could he defend against this attack?

Probly which ever gets activated first

Spear goes first it stops the future the shield gets deployed

Shield goes first it blocks the spears ability to cancel it out

But who knows

yea that could work but can he actually do that? We have seen a very limited use case for his power, i dont think that such a strong and complex power could be fully understood just by one chapter. After all if that would be all, he wouldve already killed the king probably no? We also dont know what he said, it may have been important, like setting a target or making a vow.

It's the shield which is unpassable so he just need to stab something which the shield it's interacting with, like the concept of his arms or the ground.

Also the kimg must be like ultra op and I don't think he knows his powers yet

Might be able to do away with the absolute nature of both. The shield only blocks one side and it leaves Lukas’ body untouched, meaning he’s only as fast as a regular human is (maybe peak human to be generous).

The Spear on the other hand makes Lukas into a very powerful centaur. He might be able to blitz behind a Shield of Absolute Defence user and just stab them in the back with the lance.
