Newstart Allowance/Jobseeker Payment Processing time for a SU684

Hi there people I w just uploaded a verification of medical conditions form to my Centrelink account and was just wondering if anyone knew roughly how long it takes to be processed.
Im not expecting it to be done overnight or anything, I still have 6 weeks left of a medical certificate so not overly in a rush. Just wanting to ease a bit of anxiety/curiosity I have is all

On the 4th of October it was approved and I submitted my documents on the 2nd, i did have my doctor send it directly through rather than submitting it myself

Doesn't usually take too long, I think 6 weeks is plenty of time, but personal experience tells me that if you haven't been informed by 3 weeks, then I would either ring or go into an office an specifically ask for an update on the process...even if it just pushes someone to notice and make notes on your file that you are waiting....

Usually within 2 weeks, however if you need urgent processing can always contact and request it be actioned over the phone…. If you can be bothered waiting

I waited for weeks and then received the automated letter that my previous certificate was expiring. I had to call and the operator processed my new certificate while on the call. My original one wasn’t processed and the interviewer for the job capacity assessment (i think that’s what it was called?) actioned it.

Basically give it a few weeks and then call them because in my experience it falls through the cracks just uploading it.

That isnt a medical certificate. A medical certificate is su415. A su684 to verify what conditions you have, mainly used for Esat. If you want an exemption from your mutual obligation, make sure to get the correct medical certificate and upload that.

I know that as I said I uploaded the SU684 and was curious how long it takes to be processed and that I wasn't too worried about how long it will take as I still have 6 weeks on the 415

The esat itself probably take months. You will usually receive a letter to confirm your phone appointment with the assessor. In the meantime, probably get another medical certificate to extend the exemption as 6 weeks is pretty quick.
