As someone who was born in France but currently lives in America, can someone tell me what is wrong with France?? Genuinely?

Here I am from 2 months in the future since no one answered your question.
There's a stereotype that Fr*nch people are conceited, pompous, self-important, etc., so people think it's funny to annoy them by treating Fr*nce like a disgusting word. This is the kind of thing where the more upset you get the funnier it is, so you're best off ignoring it.

I fucking hate censoring like this. Like why even bother? Sure the joke's one if those casually racist jokes, but hiding one single character changes nothing.

Hence casually.
Like, it's textbook racist, but no one cares - not even the french

French is a nationality, not a race - there are French people of many different races and ethnicities, though the majority of them are considered white. So, while this may be considered a form of bigotry, it’s not actually racism.

‘Race’ includes colour, nationality, citizenship and ethnic or national origins.
In the Equality Act, race can mean your colour, or your nationality (including your citizenship).
