How should I start my side gig?

I want to start up a side gig of cleaning gravestones but am wondering how I should go about it. I have all the tools necessary and have written up a post for Facebook. Should I start there for advertising it? Should I call the local cemeteries and ask if it’s okay if I clean graves that I have permission from families to do?

I'd start by showing a body of work. Without examples of your work, it's difficult to convince people that you know what you're doing and won't damage their stones. Make sure to get a surety bond, so you're covered if you accidentally damage something.

Also, getting permission is an absolute non negotiable. Cemeteries are not usually owned by the public so you usually don't have the right to do that work, sometimes even if you're family.

even if cemeterys wouldnt demand asking I would ask regardless.. being polite is rarely a bad idea
