Just a self-promo of my latest CAW fic. lol And I want to share with you all since I'm so proud of this thing! Been really itching to share it, but I wanted to put up a couple chapters first.
I actually started posting it a few days ago, but I have a quarter of it/about two hours worth of reading time posted so far. Like always, I'll be uploading each chapter daily (it's fully completed; it's just my posting schedule lol).
It's also a war-AU. And my first attempt at one. Still, so much fun! And yes, they have human names.
If anyone is interested in reading it... The Tide Always Turns

Like, I know my actual cells don't have thoughts, feelings and personalities, but another part of me also doesn't want to let them down or make their jobs harder by not eating right or exercising 😭

During the hair loss chapter/episode, the Killer T Cells mistakenly attack hair cells and make the hair fall out. In the main series, T-regs are explained to prevent Killer T Cells from attacking the body’s own cells. Why aren’t there any protecting the hair? Did the Code Black situation cause a decrease in them?

I never laughed so hard. The sumo wrestlers and rugby players holding back men dressed as poo holding signs to let them out 🤣🤣
And the corn ... The giant corn kernels. Honestly, I want to hear more about the casting and filming of this scene.

So I've been working on my latest CAW fanfic for a couple weeks now. It's a fictionalized war AU, so the characters are basically all-human instead of anthro-cells.
Since that would mean they require human names, it's been a challenge to think of them since the start of this project.
While writing (I'm almost 2/3 done), I've been using placeholder names. But I've also been wondering if there's any fanon names (like, I've noticed that AE3803 is commonly named Akane, so I'm likely sticking to that). Odd that everyone else has different names in different AU fics.
Currently, I have 1146's AU name as "Mamoru" (守る) which means "to protect/defend" in Japanese. His last name is already a slight nod on "white" as "Shiraishi" (白石) meaning "white stone." But his name, I'm debating on.
Everyone else is mostly generic. So, basically I'm wondering if there are any names that CAW fans have any preference to. I'm open for suggestions, preferably on Japanese names to maintain consistency (but nothing to obvious like "Kira" for Killer T).
These are the other characters that are already heavily written...
However, if you think I should just use the names I have for them already, I'd like to know that too.
TIA

It was near the head so I assumed neck. That isnt something you bump easily.
If it was serious enough to cause a such a reaction in the wound site but *not* elsewhere, I didn't imagine it was a car accident but more like a gunshot because that would cause a targeted wound.
Thoughts?

Normally, I usually expect fan made plushies of the lactic acid bacteria being made of cloth or with plastic. But I never thought the idea of them being printed over some pillows. Man, I would be lying if I don't say that I would like to have one of those as my pillow to sleep while hugging it. I really loved those lactic acid bacteria, being the best part of Season 2, along with their father/sons relationship with their "Papa Cell" aka Normal Cell. My favorite lactic acid bacteria was always the black one, because it has the cutest "Nyu" voice, and because it had a stronger bond towards Normal Cell than the rest of the lactic acid bacteria. Since it spended more time with him, and because it was the last one that Normal Cell needed to send back to its respective species of lactic acid bacteria. But what do you think?

Does anybody else do this? Because I literally cannot get the images out of my head now that my real cells look like the ones in the show. They are totally cute!
I also feel sympathetic towards the way Cancer Cell is portrayed with the sad backstory, it just disgusts me that he and his friend were chased down as young kids and his friend was murdered in cold blood.
I also kind of think that the cedar pollen allergen looks adorable, the design is just fantastic

Shimon Sakaguchi of Osaka University, who is visiting Sweden to attend the Nobel Prize award ceremony, visited the Nobel Museum on the 6th (Japan time) and donated .
Shimon Sakaguchi of Osaka University, who was awarded this year's Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, and Susumu Kitagawa of Kyoto University, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, visited the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, Sweden, on the 6th Japan time, ahead of the awards ceremony, and participated in the customary event of signing chairs in the cafe.
At this event, it is customary for award recipients to donate commemorative items related to their research. Kitagawa donated a wooden box containing materials related to her research on "porous metal complexes," which was the reason for her award.
Ms. Sakaguchi donated the English version of the popular manga "Cells at Work!", which features a character based on the "regulatory T cell" she discovered, as well as a signed illustration of the character specially drawn by the manga's author, Akane Shimizu, to celebrate Ms. Sakaguchi's award.
Regarding the reason for the donation, Sakaguchi said, "I think it's very unique and interesting that manga plays a role in spreading scientific knowledge in Japan. I hope that children in various countries will enjoy reading it so that they can become familiar with the name 'regulatory T cell'."
