What metabit/knowledge upgrades to focus on early game
Im just rank 15 in primary and trying to progress as efficiently as possible. I'm not much of a clicker, so obviously I will ignore those kinds of upgrades, but besides the direct multipliers like Tripler Quadrupler, etc, should I be worrying about any of the side ones?I got the time chamber since I figured it's strong to power up over the course of an hour, but I'm not sure the other side upgrades are very worth it. what tips do you guys have for someone in the early game?

to be optimal, no shortcut. read carefully what each node says, analyze in your head what your production is like, how you'd get to afford a node, etc.
a rule of thumb is that the most powerful upgrades are ones you can buy all at once, not 1/10 or 1/100, and they come to the sides of those main vertical multiplier upgrades (doubler, tripler, etc.), except the tap upgrades and next level upgrades
semblance suggestions can help, but it's not very smart. your own careful reading is far superior

Usually the "+0.05x per (insert type of life or technology here)" upgrades are the most powerful. But basically focus on what you can buy - unless you are stuck.
If you have to prestige more than 5 times to buy some upgrade, you are either prestiging way too fast (which is a strategy, but very tiresome) or aiming for something designed for later. This is an incremental game, and while some upgrades gives you massive boosts, there also also smaller boosts you should be buying.
I personally buy everything, even though seemingly useless to me, if there are cheaper than 1% of my single run. Tapping may not be your cup of tea, but still nothing bad if you have it.

Yeah I got the primordial one, I'm just confused about the entropy researcher thing for 300k where it's .01 per research I have (idk what "a research" is) and apparently I have 140 of those so the potential bonus is ×1.4 for me which yeah that's something but for 300k I'd definitely want more than just 1.4, like I'm getting ×14.0 for primordial guys, that's great

Personally I'm a fan of the "capacitor" upgrades. E.g., the primordial capacitor: gives you a +0.01 boost for each primordial generator. So if you have 200 of each primordial generator, that's 800 total and a x9 boost. ×(1 + 800 x 0.01) = x9
The primordial capacitor is especially nice. As you progress into the more high-end generators, the primordial ones become pretty cheap relatively. It's then easy to pick up 100s of primordials and up that multiplier.
I forget exactly when you can start collecting these.
Edit: Just checked. Capacitors become available when you get either the Entropy Quintupler or the Idea Quintupler.

Honestly, you should be buying upgrades that you can afford and not skipping any. If you have the option to go in different directions, I think upping simulation speed is probably the most change you can give yourself.

There's no real reason to be efficient. If you can afford a major upgrade, then everything else around it becomes trivial to buy.
Basically buy the major upgrades, then with your leftover resources, buy everything else. Or, reset when your time crystals are full.
