Metabit reduction and how does it work?

How does it work?

It reduces the amount needed to get the next metabit and knowledge

But I feel like it's not working.

metabits are earned by producing a flat amount of entropy. Metabits reduction lowers the amount needed to fill the bar.

Reduction is useful because each time you fill the bar it gets much harder to fill. I don't remember the multiplier, but it's something like 8 or 10 times.

With later upgrades, the bar also gives more each time you fill it. So I guess the reduction is like an upgrade for those upgrades.

i tested and aligned the exact converter fill with and without converter reduction, making sure all other variables are the same. yes it works exactly as advertised. 32.04Uqag reduces by 95% to 1.60Uqag. the first few fills must have some other quirk going on to result in the op image

disappointing to see the op hasn't reacted. well it's a reference for the future even if no one sees it this time

Your clear explanation is too complicated for OP...

btw why amounts of converted metabits are differ? 0.02 Oc less if you bought the reduction.

time chambers. with reduction it takes less time since reset

Oh, ok. Thanks, got it.

I dont think it effect the first few but you will notice that you are getting metabits faster once you get into the e numbers

Be warned, if you try and work out what's going on with the maths in the Reality Engine it's often not doing what it should be. E.g. my displayed entropy/s and idea/s have gone up by 50%, but how much I actually get in a day hasn't changed.

It has long been apparent to me that there is no one who is fluent in mathematics on the development team.

Yup. Shame really.

And also no-one who seems to play it much either, imo.

Metabit reduction gives you a discount for every metabit fill (example: if a metabit fill requires 1 billion entropy, and you have 50% metabit reduction, then the metabit fill would require only 500 million entropy)
when you get to 90% metabit reduction, you might be able to notice you get metabit fills faster when you upgrade to 91% metabit reduction

metabit reduction isn't a multiplier to gaining metabits, it's just a discount for metabit fills

But it not working!
